Hello

was wondering if anyone else had experiance of mitral vale leaks?My Son had arterial switch at 5wks and closure of vsd, he is well and is 8yrs old, we have been told at his check ups that he has mitral valve regurgitation. i dont think that this is a common leak after the arterial switch???
was really wondering if anyone has a child with this condition as i dont think its common for children to get mitral regurgitation ,the kids that used to get rhumatic fever sufferd from this but as we dont have rhumatic fever anymore i dont think its common, the drs say just watch and see if it gets any worse or symptoms ,which is a bit frustrating but i understand they cant see into the future! thanks for reading
