Hi Claire and big squeeze to George! No, still no results from biopsies, which were taken on 9th June, so should have been processed and written up by now. We were told 'end of this week' on the 15th, i.e. by the 19th, so I'm definitely getting a bit frustrated. I've been chasing since last Thursday, and finally had a call from the secretary yesterday, asking me to call her back, so 'braced for news' I did.... only for her to say she could find no trace of any biopsies! She promised she'd speak to the Surgeon at lunchtime and get back to me yesterday afternoon. Still waiting....... Am also a bit p****d off that the letter to our local Paediatrician had a heading 'Problems:' and then 'Trisomy 21' as the first in the list. Grrr. IT'S NOT A PROBLEM!!! It's a medical condition, or a background information. I'm going to speak to our Paediatrician tomorrow and ask him to write a letter 'with' us, asking for the wording to be more appropriately ordered in future, to respect our feelings on this matter. I don't want to put backs up (in high places!) but equally, I do feel so strongly about this. Attitudes do need to change or 'mindfulness' needs to be more 'mindful', if you know what I mean. It's not just being PC it's being basically respectful to another human being. OK, phew! Rant over!!! PS still owe you a lovely long email and some photos! Just been waiting until I could write biopsy results as part of it. But if it gets to end of week, I'll give up and email you anyway! xxxx
