I know that lots of you will have concerns over the current media reports on the growth of the swine 'flu threat. We have asked Dr. Qureshi to write some guidelines for families from the hospital's standpoint and we will email those of you who we have email addresses for and also post as a download on the website (with a high profile link from the homepage) by the beginning of next week.

In the meantime, I think the sensible advice would be that if your heart-child either has any flu-like symptoms of any kind or comes into contact with anyone who develops the infection, get in touch with your GP without delay, emphasising the child's heart condition.
