I don't seem to be able to get anyone to answer whether our children should be getting prophylaxis course of Tamiflu when in close contact with suspected case (without themselves showing symptoms). Things have changed dramatically on the SF front in the last couple of weeks and as all cases are suspected and not confirmed I worry that if I use the medication as a prevention I might be denied it should I need it as a treatment. My daughter is not showing any symptoms but there are suspected cases in her class at school (some away from school, some already back at school). My GP (who knows about my daughter's heart - TOF) advised to get in touch with NHS Direct!!!!! for advise!!!! I would be very grateful to get your views on this.
