Hi Susie,
My son had a different heart problem, one of which was diagnosed antenally so I have come at this journey from a different angle. I can only really echo the comments from Claire and Pippa. When you are first told that your child has a heart condition it is a huge shock and it takes some time to digest the news and the information being presented. But please rest assured that you are in the best hands with the team at Evelina as they are true experts. Don't be worried about asking numerous questions, no matter how obvious or trivial you may think they seem. The important thing is for you to have enough information to understand your daughter's condition and be able to advise others as necessary. We found the entire team at Evelina extremely patient when we have our long list of questions and they do understand your anxiety. We all have days where the situation gets on top of us but please use this message board as it is so reassuring to get the views, opinions and support of other parents and to use this forum as a sounding board.
