Hello All... Just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and my beautiful little boy beau... My names jade and my son is Beau and hes 10 weeks old today yay..... dad is david... At 2 weeks old my son was diagnosed with infracardiac tapvd... The wonderful Mr Austin performed his surgery and fixed my little boy.. it was a very tough time for us all and very scarey as far as we were concerned it didnt get any worse but unfortunatley on our check up at the rapid access clinic his echo showed pressure on his lungs so we had to have an mri the following week. We did not expect to be in a worse position than before but the cardioligists told us beau had pulminary vein obstruction. The interventionists operated twice the first was unsuccessful due to the routethat was taken and the second they went through his liver which was a success they opened up both upper and lower right veins about 4 to 5mm but unfortunatley he started bleeding the next day which also bought on seizures it turned out that hed had 2 strokes and may or may not have slight damage.. time will tell.. What i have found so difficult is the not knowing and what the future will hold to be honest im terrified. im trying to be strong for my son, he has so much strength and for a 10 week old baby not to give up then the least i owe him is to be the same... Every morning i wake up and see my son the happiness i feel is overwhelming then within minutes i remembered everything that is happening and i wish wed all wake upfrom the nightmare.... Im so so proud of my son he is a true fighter.. were back at eveleina friday 1st oct for our rapid access again and i pray it goes as well as it can this time....Beaus mummy x
