Hello,
My Daughter Micaela is 6 months old, she has VSD / TGA / DILV & coarctation of the aorta. She has had two of the 3 ohs so far. Anyway, her lips have been very blue since yesterday as well as the area around her lips up to the bridge of her nose. Everything else is fine, no temperature and she is eating and sleeping well, her hands and feet are warm and breathing is fine the only thing is she is a bit more clingy and irritable than usual and has been like this for a few days (I first put it down to her just wanting more attention cuddles etc).
I took her to the GP this morning who said she is fine and to keep an eye on her and I'm waiting for the home care team to come and check her O2 sats.
I'm wondering whether there is something wrong that is not obvious to us or weather the recent drop in temperature is making her lips blue - does anyone else's children go blue around the face and what causes seems to cause it etc etc? Is it normal at this time of year? Any info would be great - I'm still learning what's normal and when to panic!
Thanks xx
