Hi Nic, also wanted to say a big welcome to the board. My name is Lara and I have two lovely boys, Nate (3 today!) and Harry (10 and half months). I too found out about harry’s heart at twenty weeks and I found it a very hard time straight after those first scans. Harry had surgery at the evelina at nine days old and is doing really well, the evelina were fantastic. Harry is due to go for an MRI at the evelina at some time in November, so if it coincides with when you are there would be lovely to meet you. Not sure where you moving to – we live in se London. Also wanted to mention the great echo antenatal day that I went to that took place at St Thomas – it was for mothers/parents expecting a baby with a wobbly heart – it was great for many reasons, so nice to meet other parents in the same position, and also got to go round the special care and intensive care wards, it was very different to how I expected it to be and was glad I got the chance to see them before we were in them! Will you be having your baby girl at St Thomas? If so, I would really recommend it. It is also where I met the wonderful pippa
who always knows just what to say when you really need it. Anyway, I really hope your move back here is not too stressful, remember to try and look after yourself too, easier said than done I know. Big big hug to you xxxx
