Hi all, I introduced my little girl Daisy and myself about 5 weeks ago, since then Daisy has has to have the BT Shunt operation, which went really well. She is now doing really well she is gaining weight which is great as she was such a slower gainer before the op. But can anyone help with a query she is now 16 weeks old but very rarely sleeps during the day and if she does it is usually only for about 20 to 30 minutes at a time, and this is only about 3 times per day. She is breastfed on demand and feeds every 2 hours even during the night (has always fed very well, even before the op, but can only cope with little and often) it is like she has a switch that tells her when the 2 hours is up because she never goes over. She goes to bed at about 8-9pm and fully wakes at about 7am (with 2 hourly feeds in between). I worry that she doesn't get enough sleep/rest, even as a new baby she didn't sleep very much (it doesn't seem to affect her). But quite a few people have commented that she is a very fidgety baby. Do you think this has anything to do with having a heart condition or could it just be a Daisy thing (as I often get told, when I question it).
I just obviously get very worried concerned that she should be resting more as even at night her sleep is broken every 2 hours because she wants feeding. Any feedback would be appreciated. Many thanks Lyndsey xxx
