Thank you to everyone who contacted us to wish us well over the past few weeks. Thomas' surgery was done as an emergency on 15th Oct at 4 months rather than the 12 months we were heading for. His cyanotic spells were very scary but thankfully now a thing of the past.
We came home late Thurs night and I can't express enough gratitude to Mr Anderson, Andreas the registrar and all the fab nurses in PICU and of course Camel on Savannah. (I actually kissed Mr Anderson and Andreas as a thank you seemed inadequate!).
Since this was unplanned without all the nurses help, support and patience (I probaby asked the same questions 1000 times) Matt and I wouldn't have got through this rollercoaster.
Thomas is one brave and strong little boy and we are so proud of him.
Thank you also to ECHO for all the kindness and support - we won't be going anywhere and will continue to support ECHO and fellow parents who are blessed with a special heart child.
Now after weeks away from home I am going to tackle the daily house chores that have been building up whilst Thomas has a well deserved nap!
xx
