Hi Nic,
Just wanted to say congratulations on your impending new arrival and sorry to hear that she has HLHS. I have a 3 1/2 yr old little boy called Oscar with HLHS and a 2 1/2 yr old heart healthy girl called Grace. The memory of us being told of his condition is as clear as if it where yesterday. People said at the time that it would be a rollercoaster journey and they are not wrong but its been worth every minute. You will find the support from ECHO fantastic and there is always someone willing to listen! We've all been through what your going at some point and that makes such a difference when you want to let off some steam!
Oscar is having his stage 3 Norwood on the 9th Nov.... aaahhh!... so we should be on cammel ward when you are back in for your scan! If you feel up to it then it would be lovely to meet you. I know that after scans I justed wanted to get out the hospital ASAP but it'd be great to see you. If you see as blonde haired cheeky little boy nipping about with a couple of chest drains then he belongs to me and he's always up for a chat!
I hope that your move goes well and that your settling in ok.
