Hello Frances
I just thought I'd say hello and welcome to Echo. I'm a Mum to an 11 month old with congenital heart disease - a different scenario I know. But there is a 15 year old girl, called Sophie, who has recently posted on the forum. So I'm hoping she might see your posting and respond to you. There is also an ECHO teen club that is very newly established. If you follow the link from the front page, it might be helpful to speak to the chap who organises it, and praps he can find some contacts for you and your Son, if he feels he might like that (in due course). It must be a very difficult time for you - frightening yet also trying, no doubt, to keep a brave face on for your Son, and those teen years are quite a challenge anyway, without additional health complications, aren't they?! I also wanted to say that although you may find that more people here have the congenital experience, we all go through the same barrage of emotions. And there are highs as well as the lows, I promise. Welcome to the world of 'Parenting Level II! Take care of yourself in amongst all of this Pippa x
