The question on everyone's mind is whether or not Xsiris is the newest member of the Dynasty. The group of former friends of Ric Converse have banded together, mocking the name of the group originally formed by the heavyweight champ, with the sole purpose of destroying him. The trio of "Simply" Steve Greene, Joey Silvia, and Trent Wylde have made Converse's life a living hell over the past few months and last Saturday was no different. After Team Dynasty won the team series best of three bouts, they won the rights to name the next challenger to face Converse for the champion this Saturday night. Shockingly, the Dynasty tabbed Xsiris, a member of "Team Converse" for the task. The Dynasty also announced that they would be in Xsiris' corner for the title bout! Where does Xsiris fit into this puzzle? Is he still a friend and loyal to Converse? Or is he the forth member of the Dynasty and the just the next person to stab the champion in the back? This Saturday night we will all find out as Xsiris faces Ric Converse for the most prized championship in the territory. Lot's more action is scheduled as the 3rd Annual Johnny Weaver Cup Tournament continues. The summer long 20-man single elimination tournament is a grueling test of endurance and adaptability, as some very unique matchups that you would never see anywhere else are certain to happen. Johnny Weaver assisted in the selection process again this year, expanding it to 20 participants. This year's top picks receiving byes include: Jesse Ortega - 2005 Winner The 1st bout of the 1st round saw Jake Manning advance over Davey Richards. This Saturday another 1st round match will take place as the Gemini Kid makes his first appearance in the tournament taking on the Dynasty's Trent Wylde. Full Weaver Cup brackets will be available on the CWF Mid-Atlantic website. Michael McAllister has appealed to the AWA's president, Dale Gagne, over his recent bout with Rob McBride. McAllister has challenged Gemini Kid once-and-for-all to end their feud. Not surprising to anyone, Gemini wasn't even in the state on that night, but Commissioner William L. Cross gave McAllister an impromptu match with Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride instead. McAllister was furious that he had no prior knowledge about facing McBride, and if he was to face him, he wanted to have a title bout, which Cross didn't sanction. McAllister has spent the last two weeks on the phone, e-mailing, and text messaging President Dale Gagne in hopes of arranging a rematch with McBride but this time for the AWA Mid-Atlantic TV Title. Will he get a championship bout against the Boogie Man? Or will McAllister find himself as the ring announcer as Gagne put him in charge of last time he was in town? Also in action this week are AWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions Garry "Madd Trucker" Stevens & "A Very Handsome Man" Mitch Connor along with their valet they won, Kiyia Moka!
