AWA Mid Atlantic Television Champion Brass Munkey defeated "Simply" Steve Greene w/Joey Silvia & Trent Wylde by pinfall to retain the title (9:04) 7. AWA Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride defeated Mikael Yamaha w/Brad Stutts, Damien Wayne w/Sheik Lumpkin & Jake Manning w/Ty Dillinger in Four Corners Title Action to retain the title (20:23) Officials: Katie Kincaid & Red Jones Notes: Commissioner William L. Cross introduced the new AWA World Light Heavyweight Champion, Xsiris, to the fans following his controversial title win Friday night in Charleston WV. Xsiris pinned champion "Krazy K" Kirby Mack but was later DQed by the bout's original official who was inadvertently the recipient of one of X's flying dropkicks. Xsiris was without the title strap, which was a situation that Cross said would be resolved shortly since AWA President Dale Gagne actually made the three count that gave Xsiris the win on Friday evening. Gemini Kid entered the arena to continue his celebration of winning the 2006 Johnny Weaver Cup only to be confronted by Jesse "El Fuego" Ortega about how the final bout ended. Ortega's tag partner Kamakazi Kid joined in and Gemini Kid weaseled his way out of a sticky situation by promising Ortega he would face Kamakazi Kid for the Weaver Cup later in the show. However, Gemini continued to waffle, stating that the Weaver Cup match would be in two weeks. Mikael Yamaha w/Brad Stutts & Donnie Dollars entered the ring only to continue their strange in-group drama. Yamaha demanded that Dollars be replaced in the main event Heavyweight Title Four Corners by himself, to which Stutts firmly refused. Sheik Lumpkin came out for a few words with the fans, introducing his new acquisition which he was inserting in the Four Corners main event, Alex Adonis. Adonis, a former US Marine who has been away from the sport for over a year due to injuries sustained in an automobile crash, refused to play ball with Lumpkin by pledging his loyalty to the flag of the United Arab Emirates. The StreetSweepers led the charge into the ring to battle for the honor of the Sheik, along with Damien Wayne, and they thoroughly dismantled the returning Adonis until they were apparently ran away by Tank Lawson. Lawson was then the focus of the Sheik's ire, and he ordered his troops to take out his former charge. When the main event Four Corners Title Match introductions were made, Brad Stutts led out Mikael Yamaha only to their familiar entrance music. During the course of the battle, Yamaha held back allowing the other competitors to wear down the champion, leaving him fresh for the later stages of the bout. Yamaha actually had McBride in a pinning predicament following his famous Fatback Splash and pulled off of Boogie at the two count. A stunned Stutts looked on as Yamaha announced "I quit" and left the arena abruptly, not to return. Link: www.indyinsiders.com www.IndyInsiders.Com
