This week's main event match will feature the most popular tag team of Rob "The Boogie Woogie Man" McBride & Tank Lawson against the most hated tag team of the New Dynasty. McBride & Lawson will be putting their AWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Titles on the line. While the New Dynasty, consisited of Joey Silvia, "Simply" Steve Greene, & Trent Wylde, have refused to divuldge which two will be representing their faction. However the New Dynasty members are quick to reveal their hatred of the Boogie Man. "McBride is just another one of Commissioner Cross' hand-picked poster boys. First it was Ric Converse, now it's the Boogie Woogie Man. I don't care how much Cross protects his favorites, the time is coming when the Dynasty will have our rightful place and that will begin this Saturday when we take the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Titles!" a disgruntled Joey Silvia commented. McBride & Lawson will attempt back-to-back tag team title defenses this weekend, as if they successfully defend the titles against the New Dynasty on Saturday night, they will defend the titles again on Sunday against a team fieled by Sheik Lumpkin. Should the Dynasty win the titles this Saturday, Sunday's matchup will remain the same but the titles obviously will no longer be on the line. Also scheduled for this Saturday night will be a special challenge bout between the Kamakazi Kid and the newly crowned 2006 Johnny Weaver Cup Champion, the Gemini Kid. It's a match that Gemini didn't want to take place, as he has agreed to place the trophy on the line in exchange for Kamakazi's slot as tag team partner of Jesse Ortega. Gemini captured the Weaver Cup in a very controversial ending, forcing Ortega to tap out to the King Cobra, but as ringside fans witnessed, apparently using the ropes for added leverage. To prove it was just an accident, Gemini has agreed to square off with Kamakazi Kid and has vowed not to break any rules in the contest. "Kamakazi Kid is nothing but a trouble-maker," this year's Weaver Cup Champion stated. He continued, "Kazi likes to live life off the top rope, but this Saturday night he's going to have to live it on the mat. He's tempted fate too many times and now Kazi is trying to derail my destiny of Weaver Cup Champions tagging up to capture the AWA World Tag Team Titles." Gemini paused and concluded by saying, "This Saturday night I'm going to prove to Kazi, to Jesse Ortega, and to every fan that cheers my name why I am the true technical wizard in the ring and exactly why I am the Johnny Weaver Cup Champion." As if those two premier matchups aren't enough, you'll also get to see the AWA World Heavyweight Champion Ric Converse in action! Converse returns from another succesful title defense in West Virginia to step into his home at the Carolina Sports Arena. While Converse will not be defending his World Championship, he will be in action. Commissioner Cross has noted that it's likely we could see the real Dynasty in action this weekend as well, which could provide a true dream team as World Hwt. Champion Converse teaming with the disputed World Light Hwt. Champion Xsiris. You've got to be in Burlington to find out! Plus the fallout from the 4-Corners main event match from two weeks ago!
