In addition to the 30 person Rumble bout, several huge bonus matches have been signed by CWF officials to ensure that this is a CAN'T MISS event. AWA Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride will defend his championship against the number one contender, Joey Silvia, representing Dynasty II. These men tore down the house in the decision match to crown a new champion back in July and the explosive rematch has finally been sanctioned with the belt on the line. Silvia's reputation as CWF's most notable underachiever has been well documented but he's been on fire in 2006 thanks in part to help from his teammates "Simply" Steve Greene & Trent Wylde. With their help, Silvia stands poised to perhaps finally reach his potential and capture his first CWF Mid-Atlantic championship, but in the way is the determined "Boogie Woogie Man." Boogie is enjoying the most success to date in his 20 year career as a current "double crown champion" hold both the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight and Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Titles, and has no aspirations of giving up either of his two championships. These two produced a genuine match of the year candidate in July and now with three more months of seething hatred since, just might blow the roof off the Carolina Sports Arena. Also, the wildly popular Kamakazi Kid will defend the 2006 Weaver Cup trophy against the actual tournament winner, Gemini Kid, in a KAZI'S RULES match. Ever since winning the cup in August, Gemini Kid has seemingly been cockier and visibly more confident. Last month, Kazi upset Gemini in a "scientific wrestling" rules match to gain possession of the trophy and informed Gemini that since he lost his own type of match, the only way to get the trophy back would be to face Kazi in Kazi's style of match: ANYTHING GOES!!! Kazi has explicitly said that he plans to bring tables, chairs, THUMBTACKS and any other weapons of destruction he can find to the CSA and promises a new level of insanity in his own style of match. This match is a nightmare for the Gemini Kid, but a dream come true for Kazi and his legion of fans! AWA World Heavyweight Champion Ric Converse will also be in action in a special attraction non-title bout this Saturday night. But everything leads up to the main event where 30 wrestlers will compete for the winner's right to challenge for any title of their choice on an upcoming event. Two former Rumble winners have gone on to worldwide television exposure, two former Rumble winners have become Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champions within months of their victory and 2005's Rumble winner Ric Converse catapulted himself from that victory to the AWA World Heavyweight Championship! This year's field of 30 looks to be the hungriest in recent memory: Brass Munkey is in the midst of a career year with a successful reign as the current Mid-Atlantic Television Champion and a Rumble win would leap him to the next level of superstardom. Dynasty II have made impressive strides towards establishing themselves as the dominant faction in CWF Mid-Atlantic all year long. Sheik Lumpkin's Army is rumored to have bought several spots in the Rumble for mercenaries hand-picked by Lumpkin himself. Meanwhile the members of Fatback Enterprises are looking to rebound after the sudden departure of group leader Mikael Yamaha and a win in the annual Rumble would certainly put them back in the main events. Mitch Connor is already a former Mid-Atlantic Television and Mid-Atlantic Tag-Team Champion and looking to get back in the title picture. Michael McAllister cannot be discounted since he appears to be getting assistance at every turn from the bizarre Solomon Spades. The popular Cham Pain has been looking to re-establish himself as a superstar in Mid-Atlantic rings. K.C. McKnight has shown he possesses all the tools to be a champion but has yet to gain that one breakout victory. Tank Lawson is undoubtedly eager to add another accolade to his resume. Jesse Ortega looks to rebound from a heart breaking Weaver Cup final round loss and regain momentum. Last year's Rumble saw the stock rise of "Rock 'n' Roll" Matty Dee when he scored a shocking elimination on CWF veteran Mikael Yamaha. Also last year, Marcellus King made a very impressive showing, surviving until the final two, being eliminated by eventual winner Ric Converse. These are just some of the 30 who will compete for the ultimate opportunity to take their careers to the next level. Who will become a superstar overnight in this year's Rumble? RUMBLE RULES: a random drawing is held earlier in the day with each competitor drawing a number between 1 and 30, numbers 1 and 2 start with a new wrestler entering each minute thereafter. The only way you can be eliminated is to be thrown over the top rope and touching the floor with both feet. The sole survivor receives a title shot at any Mid-Atlantic championship of his choosing. Saturday, October 14th will mark the SIXTH ANNUAL 30-Man CWF Rumble. For the last five years, the CWF Rumble has risen to become the supreme annual event in CWF Mid-Atlantic. It has become the most influential night of the year in CWF Mid-Atlantic and this year's will be no different.
