McBride Injured In Cowardly Attack Tonight At Riders!

GREENSBORO NC: AWA Mid Atlantic Tag Team Champion Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride was injured in a cowardly attack by Sheik Lumpkin at Riders At The Country. Sources indicate that McBride was singing karoke ("I Love This Bar") when Lumpkin made his way up onto the stage and struck McBride with his flag. Witnesses say that Lumpkin then produced a spike and struck the former AWA Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion in the head with it. Lumpkin escaped the angry crowd only with the help of security, witnesses added.
McBride is scheduled to participate in a big First Blood Six-Man Tag bout at RCW/CWF's Do The Hustle Again (Sunday Nov. 12, 7:30 pm), which is an Eastern Guilford High School Benefit, but his current condition is now up in the air after tonight's attack.
