In an even more shocking turn of events, Charles denounced gimmick wrestling and said that once he could finally see what GOUGE was all about, he was ashamed that he had been a sanctioning part of it. Charles vowed that he would bring traditional pure wrestling back to Raleigh and announced many changes he would implement to bring a more pure wrestling approach to GOUGE. Charles abruptly fired long time SCW/GOUGE official Mr. Jolly and then brought his own referee staff into the ring and instructed them of the new rules and regulations he was instituting, including a strict 20 count on the floor and the enforcement of disqualifications, much to the dissatisfaction of the gimmicks only fan base. 1. After the bout, the Legends offered McKnight a spot on their team, which he declined until Count Grog emerged, reminding McKnight that he had the right to choose McKnight's gimmick at will and forced him to accept the Legends offer, even re-naming him Pistol Pez Whitey. 6.
