"I can't think of a match where more damage can be inflicted to more people at one time," stated Commissioner William L. Cross. He continued, "And that's why the American Wrestling Association has never sanctioned a War Games match in its entire history dating all the way back to 1959." For the first-time ever in the history of the AWA and the first time in 10 years for the Carolinas, a double ring, double cage, War Games will take place this Saturday night. Two teams will enter with their only goal to crush their opponents inside the unforgiving steel cage and force them to surrender. The cost of that surrender will either have manager Ty Dillinger banned from the city of Burlington, or Commissioner Cross fired from his job and Dillinger replacing him as the new commissioner. A heavy price to pay in addition to the pain, suffering, and blood loss that is sure to occur inside the confines of the double cage. "The War Games was originally designed to reign in the terror of the Four Horsemen and their manager J.J. Dillon. It was to punish them by allowing team versus team warfare inside the double cage where anything was legal," Cross commented. "That is exactly why I am bringing back the War Games. Ty Dillinger and his Destiny group along with the Gemini Kid have created too much havoc in the CWF Mid-Atlantic. This Saturday night they will be forced onto the battlefield with the ultimate goal to get rid of Dillinger from my town of Burlington." Commissioner Cross will take matters into his own hands as he too will be entering the deadly War Games with the hopes of finally getting to get hold of manager Ty Dillinger. Cross has assembled "Team Dynasty" as he will join Ric Converse, Xsiris, Brad Attitude, and the Kamakazi Kid to do battle with "Team Destiny." "Commissioner Cross thinks he has pulled a fast one on the Manager of Champions," cried Ty Dillinger. "But let me tell you this, I have the upper hand here. Just think about it for a minute. Who knows our opponents better than anyone in the company? That's right our fifth member, the Gemini Kid! Adding his knowledge to the greatest team ever created, and you better believe I'm talking about my Destiny team of Joey Silvia, Steve Greene, and Jake Manning, means we are unbeatable in War Games!" Dillinger concluded, "I'm a manager and I shouldn't be forced to wrestle, must less inside the deadly War Games. But with the stakes so high in the match, I'm willing to make the sacrifice to get rid of that biased Converse supporter, Commissioner Cross. And when the smoke clears and the cage is taken back down, all the fans will return March 10th to the Carolina Sports Arena for Fallout, and I'll have two words for you Cross... YOU'RE FIRED!!!" The ramifications of this match will forever change the future of CWF Mid-Atlantic. A win by Team Dynasty will ban manager Ty Dillinger from Burlington and leave his champions, AWA Mid-Atlantic Hwt. Champion Joey Silvia and AWA Mid-Atlantic Television Champion "Simply" Steve Greene, without their manager at ringside. Both Silvia and Greene benefited by Dillinger in helping them capture and maintain their hold on the titles. With no Dillinger seconding them in Burlington, we could possibly see new champions in the very near future. Not to mention the fans in Burlington will certainly be happy to be rid of the mouthy manager. However if Team Destiny wins, the balance of power will shift dramatically in favor of the rulebreakers, as Dillinger would become commissioner. No one could believe that Dillinger would be "fair and impartial" as he claims he would. Dillinger has openly suggested that Cross is "biased" in favor of Ric Converse, Rob McBride, and other fan favorites and would "even things up" should he actually gain the power of the commissioner's job. ========== WAR GAMES : Double ring - Double cage The match began with one member of each team entering the cage. After five minutes, a member from one of the teams (determined by coin toss) enters the cage, giving his team the temporary handicap advantage. After two minutes, a member from the other team enters to even the odds. Entrants alternate between teams every two minutes, giving the coin toss-winning team the temporary advantage in the numbers game before giving the other team the advantage with the freshest man and even odds. Once all ten men have entered the cage, "the match beyond" began. Both teams brawl in the cage for as long as it takes until a member of either team surrenders. There are no pinfalls and no disqualifications and the referee is stationed outside of the cage. TEAM DESTINY Joey Silvia - reigning AWA Mid-Atlantic Hwt.
