UPWA 9/8 Results from Wilmington, NC

The fastest growing wrestling promotion in the southeast packed the National Guard Armory in Wilmington North Carolina to with a near standing room crowd of nearly 275 fans when UPWA rolled into town on September 8th. In a double Main Event, first Donald Brower Enterprises Member Pete Nixon defeated Sexton Tyler in First round action of the UPWA Carolina Tournament. Tyler was in control until Donald Brower pulled his leg for a distraction allowing Nixon to get the win. In the other Main Event, D.R.S.Inc (LA Tank/Mike Devine) defeated The Dawsons to retain the UPWA Tag Team Championship. In other action, Donald Brower def. "Bam The Destroyer" in two minutes. Brower had promised to face the man one on one in a match. When "Bam" was introduced, it was a 5'2 125 pound wrestler that was painted up to look like Bam (Mean Marc Ash was also special guest referee further stacking the deck in Don Brower's favor). K.C. McKnight def Draven in First round action of the UPWA Carolina Tournament. Dr. Luv def. Beast in First round action of the UPWA Carolina Tournament. In the opening contest, Josh Hunter def. Eric Evans in First round action of the UPWA Carolina Tournament. UPWA returns to the armory on October 6th with an action packed card and the conclusion of the first round of tournament action.
