CWF Mid-Atlantic returns to the Carolina Sports Arena in Burlington, NC this Saturday, November 3rd, with a 7:30pm belltime. This is a full card of great action featuring two title bouts and huge announcements!
Two short weeks ago, the "Date With Destiny" changed the very course of CWF Mid-Atlantic. Then Commissioner Ty Dillinger has schemed to get rid of the three men that had been a thorn in his side during his reign. Instead the plan backfired and saw William L. Cross win his company back and Garry "Madd Trucker" Stevens capture the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title for the second time.
As fans cheered, another twist occurred, as Gemini Kid & Jesse Ortega attacked their fellow VIP member, Joey Silvia, blaming him for the loss. In the mayhem that followed, Ty Dillinger was also roughed up, including sending him through a table, injuring him, while "Simply" Steve Greene stunned the fans further, and broke with his Destiny members to join Gemini & Ortega as the true VIP members and beat down Silvia more.
Now as the new captain at the helm, Commissioner Cross intends to right the wrongs of Dillinger and his favoritism, providing a truly "fair and equal" playing field which Dillinger claimed to offer, but never did. As part of that, Cross has announced two huge title bouts for this Saturday night.
Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions, Jesse Ortega & Gemini Kid, will be forced to defend their titles against one of the hottest teams in the territory. Chris Collins & Lee Valiant, known as The Neon Lions, will finally get a shot at the titles many have thought they are destined to hold. While Gemini noted he was going to deliver a special message this Saturday night about Silvia and Dillinger, he did also provide us with comments about the championship contest.
"It's time we took the shine off those neon bright boys. All the fans may be cheering them on, all the critics may think they will be the next tag team champions, but after Saturday night we're going to prove they are nothing but Paper Lions. They don't have keys to the VIP, and they will go to the back of the line with all the rest of the pretender contenders. Whatever's left of the Paper Lions after Jesse beats them up, I will pin for the three count. Believe that!" concluded Gemini.
Also in store is a Mid-Atlantic Television Title Match. The Kamakazi Kid, after scoring a non-title victory in Gibsonville, has been granted a title bout against "High Definition" TV Champion Steve Greene. This rematch is much anticipated and could provide a clean sweep of title belts from the VIPs just as they lost the commissionership and heavyweight title at the last event.
2-Time TV Champion Steve Greene commented briefly, "I've got a very special announcement myself this Saturday about Destiny, and about why I helped kick Joey and Ty out of the VIPs. As for Kazi, can he pull a twenty pound chain? BLAW!"
In addition to these two huge bouts, a giant announcement is scheduled by returning Commissioner Cross. Lot's of rumors have been circulating as to what the announcement would be, including a reported signing of a much anticipated "stakes match" for Ultimate Survivor V on November 17th. While Cross hasn't indicated exactly what it would be, he did say that every CWF Mid-Atlantic fan would not want to miss what he had to say this Saturday night.
Also scheduled to appear including new Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Garry "Madd Trucker" Stevens, Ric Converse, Xsiris, Tank Lawson, Michael Yamaha, 2007 CWF Rumble Winner Matty Dee, Alex Adonis, Marcellus King and Gregory Vercetti with manager Sheik Lumpkin, 2007 Weaver Cup Winner Mitch Connor and Donnie Dollars with manager Brad Stutts, Michael McAllister, Trent Wylde, "Jersey" Nick Richards, and more!
Don't you dare miss it!!!
