They say that some plans just never work out... that opportunities only knock once.. that lightning never strikes twice... but this Saturday night at the Carolina Sports Arena, it's the Kamakazi Kid & Xsiris' "Last Chance in a Million Years."
The popular duo have seemed destined to team up since their very start in the CWF. At first rivals, but a rivalry that only produced respect for one another. While they both have traveled different paths, as Xsiris capturing many championships along the way, Kazi has only recently captured his second title with his Ultra J Crown win.
Both are daredevils in the ring, an attribute that has long made them popular with the fans. But their abilities are exactly what the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions have feared the most. Jesse Ortega & Gemini Kid dodged the bullet in their first confrontation several months ago to retain the titles.
As the champions have turned back every challenge that Commissioner William L. Cross could sign, they have refused to grant a return bout against Kazi & Xsiris. However two weeks ago, Xsiris scored a pinfall over Ortega, earning the right to face the champions one last time.
Over the objections of Ortega & Gemini that they were entitled to defend against a Mexican Lucha Libre team, Cross has signed the return match that fans have been begging for for this Saturday night. The VIPs have in turn added a special clause, that being this is Kazi & Xsiris' "last chance for a million years."
VIP spokesman, Gemini Kid, commented on the scheduled bout, "Despite the fact that no one in the Mid-Atlantic territory has been able to defeat the VIPs, those two flipping death duds, Xsiris and Kamakazi Kid, get another shot at our tag titles. Cross promised us he would bring in a top Mexican Lucha team to face but who do we get?"
The agitated Gemini continued, "Well it's their last chance for a million years, and I'll be a fossil before they get another shot at these belts. After we kick them to the curb yet again, the VIPs will be heading out in the Hummer with the Patrón, the women, and the good times that you people will never know."
Will the death-defying duo finally capture the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Titles and end the reign of the VIPs? Or will they simply become yet another area tag team to go down in defeat to the dominant VIP tandem of Jesse Ortega & Gemini Kid and have to wait a million years for another title match? This main event will be one that fans cannot afford to miss!
In addition, Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Ric Converse will face Marcellus King in non-title action. King will be seconded this week not by Sheik Lumpkin, but rather by the Arab Army's Adjutant General, Michael McAllister. Sheik Lumpkin will be in Abu-Dhabi on official Arab Army business, but feels that his new officer will continue the success of the Army in his absence.
As a special bonus, the girls action returns this Saturday with "The Blonde Mafia," Amber O'Neal & Brandi Richardson, taking on Persephone & Kristin Flake. This match-up could easily break down into an all out cat fight as both teams have a lot of ill will towards each other.
Also this Saturday night will mark the return of Destiny to full strength. Manager Ty Dillinger will have both members in Burlington as Joey Silvia & Lee Valiant have their sights set on retribution to the VIPs. Dillinger still sporting a neck brace from the brutal piledriver delivered by Gemini Kid, has vowed that Destiny will once again climb to the top of the CWF Mid-Atlantic and in doing so destroy the VIPs.
"I want the fans to know that this Saturday night at the Carolina Sports Arena, that if they don't have enough money to buy a ticket, they better beg, borrow, or steal enough to see what I have in store for the VIPs. We are on a mission of revenge! I have called out a lot of people in my life, but this Saturday night I've never meant it more. I'm going to call out the VIPs before the night is over. And if they don't meet us face to face, we're going to track them down and drag them out to the ring to settle this score," Ty Dillinger stated.
"It's way beyond personal now. No more talking, it's time for some action and Steve Greene, Jesse Ortega, and especially the old Gemini Kid, you can't run from Destiny anymore. It's going to catch up and run right over you like a freight train. The only thing that is going to be left of the VIPs is a short line in Grant Sawyer's stat book!" concluded the upset Dillinger.
All this and so much more including Mid-Atlantic Television Champion "High Definition" Steve Greene, Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride, Tank Lawson, Michael Yamaha, Alex Adonis, Brad Stutts' Fatback Enterprises, and more in action this Satuday night in Burlington, NC at the Carolina Sports Arena!
Don't you dare miss it!!!
