CWF Mid-Atlantic returns to the Carolina Sports Arena in Burlington, NC this Saturday, July 19th, with a 7:30pm belltime. This is a huge event with a full card of action.
This Saturday will mark a huge night of top bouts capped by the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Title match as reigning champions Xsiris & Kamakazi Kid are forced to defend their titles against the VIPs, or surrender the titles! The drastic call by Commissioner Cross was brought on by the fact that the Kamakazi Kid is injured with two broken vertebra. Cross told the champions two weeks ago that as champions, they had to defend the titles or surrender them on July 19th.
"Kazi is scared of the VIPs and knows he cannot defeat us again," commented the VIP ringleader, Gemini Kid. "It was a true fluke how they stole the titles from us, and now Cross is making things right by forcing those cowards to give us our return title match. I wouldn't be surprised at all if those two simply handed over the belts to us, the rightful champions, and crawled out of the building to save themselves the beating we have in store for them. You can count on two things happening this Saturday night; the VIPs are reclaiming our tag titles and we're sending Kazi out of the building, spineless, never to return again," declared the King of Heat.
The questions remain, will Kamakazi Kid follow the advice of his doctor to quit pro wrestling and give up the tag titles that he and partner Xsiris fought so long and hard for? Will Kazi refuse that medical order and risk permanent injury to his back to fight and defend those titles one last time and likely end his career forever in doing so? Either way, this could very well be the last time fans ever get to see the Kamakazi Kid in action!
As if that alone isn't enough to bring you to the Carolina Sports Arena, more matches have been announced for this Saturday. At least two more 2008 Johnny Weaver Cup bouts will take place as well.
Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride faces Marcellus King in the 2nd Round of action. McBride has been on a tear lately which included capturing the heavyweight crown. Now he hopes to turn back the "top recruit" of General McAllister's Army, in one Marcellus King. King has also scored some huge wins, including a huge grudge match that sent his rival out of the company on a stretcher. This Saturday night King plans on upsetting the heavyweight champion and securing his spot in the Weaver Cup Finals Night.
Another 2nd Round Match will see a rematch between TV Champions, as reigning champion Tank Lawson squares off against "High Definition" Steve Greene. The winner of this bout will also move into the Weaver Cup Finals Night. These two will be out for more than a victory as Lawson and Greene have feuded over the TV Title for months. This match could be a redemption for VIP member Steve Greene, while Lawson is planning on riding his undefeated wave right to the finals.
Plus just announced, former teammates collide in a heated grudge match this Saturday as "Handsome" Mitch Connor faces former Fatback associate Donnie Dollar$ with Brad Stutts & Matthew de Nero ever present at ringside. Connor was able to narrowly out wrestle the towering Dollars two weeks ago and Fatback's brain trust is boasting claims that it won't happen again.
"Mitch claims not to need us anymore and that his fans are all he needs," Stutts boasted in a call to CWF officials. "Well Saturday night members of Fatback will be all over Mitch from every direction imaginable. We'll come at him by land, by sea or by land to take him down, and none of the fans will be able to help him one bit. Mitch chose to stand alone against us and come Saturday night he faces the true consequences of that decision. He won't know what hit him."
All this and so much more including Brass Munkey, Mikeal Yamaha, Lee Valiant, Roy Wilkins, Ric Converse, RGL Champion Nick Richards, Evan Banks with manager Bobby O'Neal, and more in action this Saturday night in Burlingon, NC at the Carolina Sports Arena!
Don't you dare miss it!!!
