CWF Mid-Atlantic returns to the Carolina Sports Arena in Burlington, NC this Saturday, November 1st, with a 7:30pm belltime. This is a huge event with a full card of action!
This historic night will feature title bouts, challenge matches, and a special return! With 199 live events in the record books, this monumental 200th event had to have some huge announcements! With Commissioner Cross still suspended, the Board of Directors have put together a dream card for this Saturday's live event!
The main event will feature the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Titles defended against a faction created by the exiled commissioner, William L. Cross. Cross debuted his newest member of the Aftermath in the CWF Rumble, as the powerhouse Ryan O'Reilly, showed where he stood by shaking hands with Ric Converse. Solomon Spades & O'Reilly failed to capture the Rumble win, but their presence was felt, and this Saturday it could change the title picture completely.
Cross has commented that while the Board of Directors has stripped him of his powers, the true power lies in controlling the championships. With the heavyweight crown already in his control, Cross intends to add the tag team titles to his faction.
Reigning title holders, Mikael Yamaha & Xsiris, will defend against the Aftermath team. This high profile defense couldn't come at a worse time for the tag champions, as Yamaha will return to action after serving a 30-day suspension. The champions haven't been able to compete as a team for three events, and that lack of teamwork could spell disaster in the main event, giving Cross and the Aftermath the power they seek!
Another huge title bout has been ordered, as Mid-Atlantic Television Champion Marcellus King will defend his title against the 2008 Johnny Weaver Cup Winner, Brass Munkey. King has suffered what many have said is a "curse" when it comes to battling Brass Munkey. He's faced the fan favorite on numerous occassions, but he's never been able to beat Munkey. Now with his TV Title on the line, it becomes even more important that King can finally defeat Brass Munkey and retain the title. Or fans could see "King's Curse" continue and Brass Munkey add the TV Title to his long list of accomplishments in 2008. A win could certainly make this "The Year of the Munkey."
Two big title bouts, but more big matches have been announced! The bitter feud between the VIPs and Destiny has been raging on, including the finale of this year's CWF Rumble! It came down to VIP member Jesse Ortega and Destiny's Lee Valiant. Valiant prevailed and the VIPs are madder than ever.
They'll be seeking revenge this Saturday night as both teams will meet in tag team action! Ty Dillinger will send Joey Silvia & Lee Valiant to the ring to face Jesse Ortega & "High Definition" Steve Greene with Gemini Kid at ringside. This is a highly volatile matchup that could easily see things break down into nothing but a street fight!
Another big grudge match marked for this Saturday will see the ever popular Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride & Roy Wilkins take on Fatback Enterprises managed by Brad Stutts. Wilkins had recently come to the rescue of McBride, and now they will team up to try and stop the Fatback rampage! Stutts plans to derail the duo and has hinted that even though they have injured Mitch Connor, they are not finished with him yet. What dastardly plan had Stutts devised? This Saturday night we could all find out!
With four marquee bouts announced, fans know this special 200th Event is one they can't afford to miss. But the Board of Directors were approached by another wrestler that said he just couldn't sit by and miss this monumental evening. The BoD are pleased to let fans know that the Kamakazi Kid will make a special appearance at this Saturday's event! Kazi has been out of action with a severe injury but he will be at the Carolina Sports Arena for the CWF's 200th Live Event! Don't miss this rare chance to see the Kamakazi Kid again!
Don't you dare miss it!!!
