++Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride began the event by introducing CWF's own Pops Wenkel at ringside. Wenkel suffered a heart attack less than a week ago and was already back on duty looking fit and in fine voice. McBride then called to the ring his wife, offering a surprise for being with him at a wrestling event (again) on their wedding anniversary. After presenting her with a new wedding ring set, he surprised her by asking the fans for the night off to take his wife out on the town. They left the arena to the cheers of the fans.
++VIP Jesse "El Fuego" Ortega made his way to the ring demanding a mic after the first bout and called out rival Lee Valiant. The two went nose-to-nose for several minutes, with Ortega telling Valiant how the fans really don't care and enticing him to "cross the aisle" and start dressing in the "other" dressing room. Valiant stood his ground on his belief in the fans and accepted the challenge made by Ortega to battle in a Last Man Standing bout at Battlecade IX with Valiant's guaranteed title shot (from winning the Rumble) on the line!
++CWF Mid Atlantic Tag Team Champions Xsiris & "Box Office Draw" Mikael Yamaha entered the ring after the third bout to speak to the fans and announce that they would do the unprecedented, defend the tag titles at Battlecade IX against THREE other teams. Aftermath interrupted their time and verbal barbs began to fly. Bad blood between big Ryan O'Reilly and Xsiris came to a head, with X challenging the monster to a singles bout, which was accepted by Aftermath's William L. Cross. Yamaha then challenged manager Cross to a singles match, stating that the fans wanted to see him wrestle too, to which Cross refused. In a sudden change of heart, Cross agreed only if the bout be No DQ. Before the bell, the "acting commissioner" ordered both O'Reilly and Xsiris from the ring area, calling for the match to begin only after the two had left ringside. Cross took to the floor leaving Yamaha in the ring to be attacked by Aftermath's "the 1st" Ric Converse with a steel chair. Despite the official seeing the run-in, he was forced by rule to make the three-count on Yamaha due to the No DQ rules.
++Xsiris v. Ryan O'Reilly was stopped by ring official Redd Jones when Xsiris became unresponsive to his question of whether he could continue. Jones ordered the bell and awarded the bout to O'Reilly, who administered even more pain before leaving Xsiris lying face down in the ring. After several minutes, Xsiris was still unmoving in the ring and the ring official called for help from board of directors members and Xsiris' tag partner. Xsiris was finally helped from the ring and almost carried out of the arena before being driven to the emergency room.

++Commissioner candidate Cornelius J. Lumpkin entered the ring following the main event and directed a table being set up in the ring as he introduced the champion and challenger to sign the contracts for the main event of Battlecade IX. Aftermath's Ric Converse, with William L. Cross, entered the ring with the Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Title belt after the challenger Brass Munkey was introduced. The contracts were presented and Brass Munkey signed both immediately. Lumpkin signed on behalf of the board of directors and then slid the documents to Converse. Converse took the challenge personally, going off on Munkey for having the audacity to challenge him to an event that he's never lost in a main event at, Battlecade, before signing. Munkey didn't back down despite the verbal abuse, finally taking things into his own hands and dropping manager William L. Cross through the table in the ring. Converse attacked Munkey with the Weaver Cup Trophy, shattering it into pieces over the head in the ring and then brutalizing him with the remains, leaving him bloodied after dropping a knee onto Munkey's arm in a steel chair.
