*** TWO HUGE TITLE BOUTS!
*** WEAVER CUP QUARTERFINALS!
CWF Mid-Atlantic returns to their new home venue, the Mid Atlantic Sportatorium in Burlington, NC this Saturday, August 1st, with a 7:30pm belltime.
CWF Mid-Atlantic's new home at the Mid Atlantic Sportatorium is located at 1813 Frank Holt Drive, Burlington, NC 27217 just about 2 miles away from our familiar former home the Carolina Sports Arena. We encourage all of the CWF SuperFans to join us at this brand new facility that will be our permanent home.
The action in the ring this Saturday night will be sizzling with TWO championship bouts and THREE Johnny Weaver Cup Tournament Quarterfinal matches.
The main event is a rare opportunity for every wrestler in the Mid-Atlantic... a shot at the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Crown! Brass Munkey's dominant reign as champion will be tested by one of the most experienced CWF wrestlers of all time, a former 2-Time Tag Champion and former Cruiserweight Champion, "The Box Office Draw" Mikael Yamaha. Yamaha is hoping to capture the one title belt that has eluded him his entire career in CWF Mid-Atlantic, and at the "Summer Sizzler" he is going to have that chance to add the platinum and gold belt to his trophy case.
However the ever-popular champion, Brass Munkey, doesn't plan on handing over that belt he has fought so hard to capture and retain for the past seven months. This unique matchup was created in the boardroom, after Yamaha requested the match. Now the dream match will occur, it's up to Yamaha if he can make his dream come true!
The second of the blockbuster championship bouts signed, will pit Mid-Atlantic TV Champion Lee Valiant against a former champion, Xsiris. While Valiant has been embroiled in a feud with Destiny, Commissioner Garry Stevens has been lenient with the number of defenses Valiant has had. However this Saturday, the commissioner ordered another title defense, one that fans will surely enjoy. Xsiris also holds the PWI Ultra J Title, which is one reason why Xsiris was tabbed to get the TV Title match. Can Xsiris repeat as a "double crown" champion by defeating Valiant for the TV Title and reclaim the belt he once held? And can Valiant really focus all his attention on the title defense while keeping an eye out for another sneak attack by Destiny? This could be just the opportunity that Xsiris has been waiting for!
As if those two huge matches weren't enough, there are three Johnny Weaver Cup Tournament bouts slated for Saturday as well. The winners will join Brass Munkey for the Final Four night. You'll see Donnie Dollars take on Ric Converse; another Fatback member and the first ever Weaver Cup Winner Corey Edsel battles another former Weaver Cup Winner and reigning Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champion Jesse Ortega; and finally the Kamakazi Kid challenges another former Weaver Cup Winner, Mitch Connor. What an incredible quarterfinals this Saturday night!
All this and so much more including Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride, Tank Lawson, Roy Wilkins, Alex Adonis, RGL Champion Matt Smith, Chase Dakota, Arik Royal, Destiny's Joey Silvia, Steve Greene and manger Ty Dillinger along with the Gemini Kid, Trevor Lee, Justin Duke, and many more!!!
Don't you dare miss it!!!
