*** MID-ATLANTIC TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP DREAM MATCH SIGNED!
*** XSIRIS VS. YAMAHA REMATCH!
*** TENSION WITH THE VIP'S?
*** TROUBLE WITH KAZI AND MUNKEY?!
Every year in CWF Mid-Atlantic, this is the time of year where everything reaches a fever pitch. We are two weeks away from the 9th annual CWF Rumble; a mere seven weeks away from Ultimate Survivor VIII and less than 3 months away from the biggest card in CWF history, Battlecade X! The fall schedule in CWF Mid-Atlantic is when some careers are made, some end, and all are altered forever. You cannot miss a single live event during this time of year and THIS Saturday night tensions in the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium have never been higher!
Saturday will see a very special dream match main event as the new Mid-Atlantic Tag-Team Champions FATBACK ENTERPRISES of "DANGEROUS E" COREY EDSEL & DONNIE DOLLAR$ defend their belts against the number one contenders of "CLASSIC" CHRIS COLLINS & Mid-Atlantic Television Champion LEE VALIANT, the NEON LIONS! Brad Stutts' Fatback team had promised to set a new standard for the tag-team championship and this main event match is something that his team is taking very seriously. For nearly a year, the Mid-Atlantic Tag-Team Championship has been controlled by people who ducked the top contenders and weaseled their way through title defenses. But Stutts assured CWF management this week in a conference call that Fatback would answer all challengers and they wanted to defend the belts against the rightful number one contenders. It was last month at the Sportatorium when the Lions returned as a team and won a gauntlet match, last defeating Destiny, and skyrocketing to the top of the title contenders. This main event presents Lee Valiant with the unique opportunity to hold two CWF titles simultaneously, a feat only accomplished by two other men in the nine year history of CWF Mid-Atlantic. This is a HUGE tag-team bout that you won't want to miss!
Overall, however, there isn't much tag-team harmony in the CWF locker room. Rumors have been running rampant that there are problems in the VIP team of JESSE ORTEGA & GEMINI KID ever since their "Fatback Rising II" title loss. Our sources have informed us that a "VIP summit" will be called in the ring this Saturday that will see both Ortega and Gemini air our their grievances and, according to the Gemini Kid, re-dedicate themselves to furthering their impressive tag-team legacy.
The VIP's aren't the only tag-team in turmoil, as problems may exist in the camp of Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion BRASS MUNKEY and 2009 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament Winner KAMAKAZI KID. A blinded Munkey swung wildly and accidentally struck Kazi 2 weeks ago at the Sportatorium, however Munkey was undeniably in full control of his actions last week in Oxford, NC when he threw a vicious lariat to his friend, knocking him off the top rope to win an every man for himself "Rumble preview" battle royal. We understand KAMAKAZI KID has requested time to publically address the fans and Munkey this Saturday in the ring.
Another title match will see PWI Ultra J Champion XSIRIS defend against "BOX OFFICE DRAW" MIKAEL YAMAHA in a special bout that will see the count-out rule waived. After Xsiris bailed on a scheduled match 2 weeks ago and took an intentional count-out, Asst. Commissioner CORNELIUS J. LUMPKIN ordered this return match under the specially modified rules of NO COUNT-OUTS! The brawl could spread all over the Sportatorium with Xsiris having no room to run and he may have to finally answer for his actions against his former friend and partner.
Also ROB "BOOGIE WOOGIE MAN" McBRIDE will be in attendance as a special guest to address his "people's" after a shocking Loser Leaves CWF loss to Ty Dillinger 2 weeks ago.
Plus the Aftermath's RIC CONVERSE & MARCELLUS KING; JOEY SILVIA & STEVE GREENE of Destiny; RGL Champion MATT SMITH; SHOWTYME of TREVOR LEE & JUSTIN DUKE; ALEX ADONIS w/ CRYSTAL CLEAR; "HANDSOME" MITCH CONNOR; Fatback's "JERSEY" NICK RICHARDS; ROY "RAGE" WILKINS; CHIVA KID; ARIK ROYAL; Aftermath prospect JAXON DANE; RAY KANDRACK & CECIL SCOTT; the return of BOBBY WOHLFERT and more! Be there to witness "HIGH TENSION 2009" at the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium as the CWF calendar kicks into high gear this Saturday night!
NOTE TO CWF SUPERFANS: We understand that Hwy. 62 in the vicinity of the Sportatorium may be closed this weekend due to road construction. For our fans who typically follow Hwy. 62 to the Sportatorium, we advise taking the alternate route of Hwy 49/ Maple Ave. (Exit #145) to Anthony Rd to Airpark Dr. to Frank S Holt Dr. this Saturday in the event that Hwy 62 is closed down.
Don't you dare miss it!!!
