*** ROY WILKINS vs. ARIK ROYAL 2 OUT OF 3 FALLS!
*** COACH GEMINI'S 2ND CHANCE AGAINST FATBACK AND THE TAG-TITLES!
*** WEAVER CUP CONTINUES - XSIRIS VS CHIVA!
Pro wrestling returns to the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium in Burlington, NC THIS Saturday night with a huge card headlined by two championship bouts as well as two huge match-ups in the 2010 Johnny Weaver Cup Tournament!
Coach Gemini has been vocally petitioning for a second chance at the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship ever since his first team came up short two weeks ago. Fatback manager Brad Stutts has been adamant that his team will defend the belts any time under any circumstances against any challengers and was eager to grant the Coach's request. However the crafty Gemini has put a spin on things and Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions DONNIE DOLLAR$ and NICK RICHARDS will not know WHICH two members of Gemini's sports franchise they will be competing against until match time!
"Those tag team titles are rightfully mine!," the cocky Coach commented. "I never got a return match when I lost them way back in September! But that's ok because the only thing that could give me more pleasure than beating Fatback myself is coaching my super team to its first tag team championship! I am building a franchise, a championship legacy! And July 31st the tag belts and the Television title are coming home to Coach Gemini!"
Indeed it is a huge night for Coach Gemini as ROY WILKINS in signed for a huge return match against newly crowned Mid-Atlantic Television Champion ARIK ROYAL. Wilkins lost the championship back at "Absolute Justice" to Royal, who had to cash in his Rumble victory prize to earn one last shot at the title. Royal had his crowning moment after a six month chase but there's no rest for the champion and Wilkins has been chomping at the bit for a rematch ever since. This Saturday night these two warriors square off in a two out of three falls bout to settle their feud once and for all! Remember that a wrestler must win two falls to leave with the championship belt which means we are certain to see a decisive winner and a decisive loser!
Plus the 2010 Johnny Weaver Cup Tournament continues as Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion STEVE GREENE, who was one of the four wrestlers to draw a first round bye, squares off against hungry young MATT SMITH. Out of the 12-man tournament field, this match-up might be the most intriguing. As Heavyweight Champion, the case could be made that Greene has the most to lose should he be upset and knocked out of the tournament with an early round loss. Smith, however, has everything to gain if he can somehow upset the champion and advance to the tournament's coveted final four.
Another big second round match-up has been signed for Saturday night's card, XSIRIS vs. CHIVA KID! These two could steal the show as this match promises to be a high-flying all out war! The Ultra J Champion Xsiris is fresh off his first west coast title defense and eager to stake his claim to the 2010 Weaver Cup!
Plus much more including "The 1st" RIC CONVERSE, "The Assassin" RAY KANDRACK, Aftermath's JAXON DANE and MARCELLUS KING AND the fallout from the shocking RGL Title match at "Should I Stay or Should I Go?" will be addressed for the first time publicly. CHASE DAKOTA pulled out the shocking win to capture the championship from TREVOR LEE, thanks in part to a mistimed assist from Coach Gemini. We hope to find out more about the intentions of Dakota as champion as well as the status of Trevor Lee within Gemini's organization this Saturday night!
