All of us at CWF Mid-Atlantic are thrilled to invite you to our anniversary spectacular "Battlecade" THIS Saturday night! This is the crown jewel event of the calendar year for CWF Mid-Atlantic and it is a night so enormous that we're kicking things off half an hour early at 7 PM to squeeze in all the action! This is the culmination of an entire year of great CWF Mid-Atlantic wrestling, join us to see how 2010 ends and who will be rise up to become the top wrestlers in the Mid-Atlantic for 2011. It's all happening THIS Saturday night!
*** For the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship:
RIC CONVERSE (c) VS. LEE VALIANT
Our Battlecade XI main event represents the end of a months-long power struggle. Lee Valiant captured the Mid-Atlantic Hwt. Championship in September but was attacked by Converse and had the title stolen from him before he could ever even hold the platinum and gold championship belt in his hands. These two have gone back and forth since that night and it all comes to a head THIS Saturday December 18th. Converse has refused a championship rematch since September and it took not only holding Converse's manager William L. Cross hostage and disrupting the card at Ultimate Survivor but also the entire CWF staff, crew and wrestlers threatening to walk out two weeks ago if Valiant wasn't awarded a title rematch. Under mounting pressure from the Board of Directors, the self-proclaimed "Mr. Battlecade" finally signed on the dotted line to face Valiant one-on-one at CWF's biggest night of the year. The determined challenger has a tall order ahead of him against the record-set ting six time Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion. Featuring two of the most explosive and exciting athletes ever to compete in a CWF ring, this one should be a can't miss epic main event!!!
*** Television AND Tag-Team Titles on the Line:
COACH GEMINI'S ALL-STARS VS. ARIK ROYAL & FATBACK ENTERPRISES
There's almost too much history between these two feuding gangs to recap! Ty Dillinger and Brad Stutts have hated each other since day one in CWF Mid-Atlantic, as have Brad Stutts and Coach Gemini. Gemini and Stutts are two of CWF's most tenured cornerstones and have spent nearly ten full years at each other's throats.
Fatback won the Tag-Team Championship from Gemini and Jesse Ortega 16 months ago. Coach Gemini got his revenge on October 30 of this year when Dillinger and Kandrack won the belts from Fatback with a big assist from Walter Eaton, who turned on his long-time friends in Fatback and joined the All-Stars. In that match, Donnie Dollars was piledriven on the concrete floor and has been out of action ever since. Dollars returns this Saturday night with payback on his mind coming after his attackers! Kandrack had been in a brutal rivalry with Fatback's Nick Richards for months leading up to that championship match on Halloween, including a bloody last man standing match back in May. Roy Wilkins robbed Arik Royal of the Television Title back in February but Royal got him back by capturing the title at "Absolute Justice" in June. Royal and Kandrack have had issues ever since they came face to face at the 2010 CWF Rumble back in October. In short, EVERYBODY on each side hates EVERYBODY on the other side.
Coach Gemini's ridicule of referee turned wrestler Joseph Blackwail and what he called questionable officiating was one of the key factors that led to Walter Eaton being placed in the Tag Title match on Halloween as referee in the first place. Eaton helped the All-Stars win the belts and all the referee drama that has transpired is what led CWF Mid-Atlantic officials to recruit perhaps the greatest and certainly the most decorated referee of all-time, legendary WCW/NWA official TOMMY YOUNG to officiate this hugely important match.
Specifically the rules for this one are that it can ONLY end in pinfall or submission, thus guaranteeing that one of the two championships will change hands. This is the first time in CWF history that rules to a specific match have guaranteed a title change. The way it works is this, if ANY member of the All-Star team is pinned or submits, Dillinger and Kandrack lose the Tag-Team Titles. If ANY member of the Fatback/Royal team loses, Arik loses the TV Title. The defending champions place a great deal of trust in their teammates in this match as the whole team is essentially defending your championship. With all these combustible elements, this may very well be the wildest match on the Battlecade card this year!
*** JOEY SILVIA VS. TREVOR LEE
to determine who is the TRUE "Infamous Icon"
Rising star Trevor Lee was drafted by the All-Stars in April and Silvia quickly took a liking to him, dubbing him his "icon in training" but the relationship quickly dissolved. Trevor and Silvia seemed like an ideal tag-team but they were too much alike, both hot heads, and couldn't make the team work. After the All-Stars fed Trevor to the wolves in a tag-team match, Trevor returned at the Weaver Cup Finals in August and smashed Silvia against a glass picture frame, ending their partnership for good. Since then Trevor has gotten the upper hand on Silvia time after time and seems to have been slowly earning his former mentor's respect but the stakes have never been as high as they are at Battlecade, as the loser can no longer use the "Infamous Icon" name and the winner will have supreme bragging rights by defeating their rival on the biggest card of the year. These two daredevils are bound to leave it all in the ring this Saturday night!
*** Grudge Tag-Team Match:
CHASE DAKOTA & CECIL SCOTT VS. ROB McBRIDE & KAMAKAZI KID
Chase Dakota won the RGL Championship from Trevor Lee in July and almost immediately changed his entire outlook on life. He quickly became perhaps the most obnoxious person on the roster and injured both Matt Smith and Bobby Wohlfert putting both on the shelf indefinitely. His next target was Rob McBride, but McBride wasn't going down without a fight and the two have been at war ever since. The cocky RGL Champion first crossed paths with Kamakazi Kid at Halloween MAX on October 30th and since that night we've seen McBride and Kazi form a dream team of former Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champions to combat different combinations of Dakota, Scott and Mecha Mercenary. Kazi and McBride seemed to get the last laugh on Chase at Ultimate Survivor when they won his hair, until Dakota responded two weeks later by stealing the mask of Kamakazi Kid to hide his shame. Both McBride and Kazi vow to get his mask back at Battlecade in this explosive tag-team grudge match!
*** Two of the region's most exciting wrestlers collide in what could be the show stealer CALEB KONLEY VS. CHIVA KID.
If Chiva walks out of Projekt X on Friday night still the Ultra J Champion, the championship will go on the line at Battlecade! Konley was one of the very first Ultra J champions back in 2008 and has since maintained a very rigorous schedule, wrestling all over the country. Chiva Kid is homegrown, a product of the CWF Mid-Atlantic dojo, who captured the Rising Generation League Championship at Battlecade Nine in December 2008. He rose through the ranks to become one of CWF's most popular competitors and captured the Ultra J Championship from Xsiris on October 2nd of this year, battling through a debilitating shoulder injury to upset X and end his nearly two year title reign. These two super exciting wrestlers could put on a match for the ages Saturday night!
*** In another grudge match, "The One and Only" JUSTIN DUKE with Kristin Flake VS. Fatback's MATTY DE NERO with Brad Stutts!
These two grew up together and went through wrestling camp together and according to Duke, Matty was always the more charismatic one, the more popular one, the one people gravitated to more. Matty got opportunities to work for CWF Mid-Atlantic first while Duke had to work his way up through some pretty shady operations to get an opportunity here. Duke blames De Nero for all the problems and stumbling blocks he's faced in not only his career. Duke has unleashed several months worth of sneak attacks on Matty and they will come face to face in a sanctioned bout for the first time at Battlecade Eleven!
*** For the Rising Generation League Championship,
MECHA MERCENARY VS. JASON MILLER.
The popular Miller has his work cut out for him in the 2010 RGL Tournament Finals as the monstrous Mecha has never lost and never even been taken off his feet since his professional debut. It's the heart and fire of Miller against the strength and size of Mecha for the RGL Championship.
*** Plus the 2nd Annual Tag-Team Invitational Battle Royal featuring teams from all over the Pro Wrestling International organization AND Arena Chicks action as "Mississippi Queen" CHRISTIE RICCI and Jersey's own COOKIE from TNA Wrestling square off against the veteran ANGEL ORSINI and her fiery young partner DIVINA FLY.
