++CWF New Years Knockout kicked off with a wild three-way tag team battle between the Set (Jay Sinn & Lance Lude), Cederick Alexander & Caleb Konley and Mark James & RGL Champion Jason Miller. All six men took exception to each others observance of the rules and fights broke out all over the arena. When the smoke cleared, Miller & James walked away with their hands raised in victory.

++Aftermath manager William L. Cross entered the ring without fanfare with a house mic and proceeded to explain the celebration of the Mid Atlantic tradition which CWF has embraced for over ten years. After calling for a video presentation of former Mid Atlantic champions, Cross called out current Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion. Instead of champion Lee Valiant entering, former six-time champion "the 1st" Ric Converse entered with the original Mid Atlantic Title strap, which was presented to him by the late Johnny Weaver several years ago. Converse stated that he WAS the "true champion" and would defend his title against anyone in CWF Mid Atlantic.
++"Infamous Icon" Joey Silvia was out next for singles action against the "Michigan Assassin" Bobby Wohlfert. Wohlfert started fast, grounding Silvia for the opening moments, pounding him to try to keep him battling to take a breath. Silvia, known for his amazing resilience, stayed on track and turned the tide of the battle into his favor despite vicious attacks and counters by both competitors. Silvia stole a pinfall win, leaving Wohlfert in pain in the ring asking for a house mic. Wohlfert, who had said his goodbyes a couple of months ago, saluted the fans, said he was shipping out to Afghanistan within two weeks and was eager to get there and relieve his Semper Ferocious partner Devin Dalton, who should be heading back stateside, and to the squared circle, soon.
++Silvia made his way back to the ring with a house mic after Wohlfert exited to a roar from the crowd, and along with Coach Gemini, called out parner "High Definition" Steve Greene, who had stated at Battlecade XI that he was wrestling one more match and calling it a career. Greene listened as the crafty Coach told him of international travel plans already in the works for the Silvia-Greene tag team, but held firm that he was wrestling one more match before hanging up the boots. Silvia took control of the situation, kicking Greene in the mouth before he could make his opponent known before making his exit from the arena.
++Eight man gauntlet action was up next, with two men starting and another joining every 90 seconds. Elimination, by rule, could occur via pinfall, submission or over the top rope and the winner is guaranteed a shot at the CWF Mid Atlantic Television Title on January 22. Former champion Arik Royal was out first, locking horns with Trevor Lee as the rest of the competitors made their way to the ring. Rookie Ben Tyler was the first man eliminated, followed shortly thereafter by "One Man Boy Band" Roo-D Lewis and "Creepy" Cecil Scott. Joseph A. Blackwail was the last man in and the fourth man eliminated, followed by Lee and Stephen Hayes. "New Era" Jimmy Parker found himself alone against Royal as the final two survivors in the guantlet. Royal put the powerful young Parker's shoulders to the canvas to get a guaranteed shot at the title he feels he never lost.
++CWF Mid Atlantic Tag Champions "Assassin" Ray Kandrack & "Designated Hitter" Ty Dillinger w/Coach Gemini were out next to defend their titles against the red-hot VA Bomber team of Jason Blade & Adam Page. Things didn't go well for the coach, who found his penalty flags picked up by the ring official and basically ignored as the fan-favorites begin taking apart the champions in the middle of the squared circle. Referee Redd Jones had to be replaced after getting caught in the crossfire, forcing referee Court Montgomery to run in and make the three-count for the Bombers' first title reign in CWF Mid Atlantic. Coach Gemini, called for a replay and demanded the titles back, but referee Jones, who saw the pinfall from the canvas, held up the younger official's decision making Page & Blade the newest Mid Atlantic champions.
++Eight man tag action hit the ring next as Coach Gemini's All Stars fielded the team of "Special Teams Coach" Roy Wilkins, Walter Eaton, Michael "the Fury" McAllister & Mecha Mercenary, along with the Coach and Dillinger prowling at ringside. Fatback Enterprises' team of Donnie Dollar$, Matthew de Nero, "Young Gun" Nick Richards & "Dangerous E" Corey Edsel hit the ring with manager Brad Stutts and all heck broke out. Bodies flew everywhere as the eight went to war, every imaginable shortcut ever devised was put to use by the All Stars, who once again won another bout by sheer numbers alone.
++Before Fatback Enterprises exited the ring, they called for the house mic. Stutts demanded a six-man match between himself, Dollar$ & Richards against Coach Gemini, Dillinger & Eaton, with the loser of the bout permanently retiring from CWF Mid Atlantic. Coach Gemini balked at the offer, stating his first point of business is getting the tag titles back and Commissioner Connor answered the beckoning of Stutts and hit the ring to make a decision. Connor reluctantly made the match, with a specific point that the loser (retiree) would not be allowed to return to CWF Mid Atlantic in ANY capacity forever. He then stipulated that the bout would take place on Feb. 5th at CWF End of an Era and that if anyone from either team attacked any member of the other team, the entire attacking team would be forced into retirement.
++"Dangerous E" Corey Edsel took the house mic after the Commissioner exited the ring, and said his goodbyes to the Burlington faithful, stating after teasing the fans that he's been signed by WWE. All the best to our buddy "Big Dangers" as he heads up into the next level of pro wrestling.
++CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Lee Valiant hit the ring to answer the challenge of original Dynasty member Brad Attitude and the two went to battle in a hard-hitting yet scientific battle of wills with Valiant's newly-won strap on the line. Attitude tried to use his reach and size advantage on the champion, but Valiant responded with his own slippery yet direct style of grappling to keep the battle pretty much on even footing for most of the match. Several minutes past the halfway point of the time limit, Ric Converse entered the arena as Valiant and Attitude were battling across the floor at ringside. Converse, with his title belt, tried to get Attitude to jump him, but the challenger maintained his cool and helped Valiant back into the ring. Converse lost it, jumping into the ring and attacking Valiant, forcing the official to call for the bell, ruling the bout No Contest due to outside interference. Attitude took the house mic and stated that he was "available" on January 22nd and wanted a shot at Converse's bogus belt. Cross joined Converse on the ramp and the two heard Attitude take the situation to another level, challenging Converse to "defend" in No Holds Barred action, which he reluctantly accepted.
++CWF Mid Atlantic returns to live action on Saturday January 22nd at 7:30pm at Burlington NC's Mid Atlantic Sportatorium. CWF Projekt X returns to live action on Friday January 21st at 8:00pm at Burlington NC's Mid Atlantic Sportatorium!
