++With a spot in the 2012 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament on the line, CWF Mid Atlantic Opportunity Knocks kicked off with Fun Aftermath Guy Trevor Lee squaring off against the Set's Lance Lude. Give and take, lightning fast moves and counters and an escape from the legendary finisher of a masked Mid Atlantic legend of the past dotted the Lee pinfall win, but the timely assist by "assistant to William Cross" Chet assured his man of the victory.
++Results courtesy of IndyInsiders.Com. Yup. We know stuff.
++CWF Mid Atlantic Television Champion Donnie Dollar$ was up next to defend his title against a former teammate from years ago, the Set's Jay Sinn. The two familiar foes brawled like one owed the other money, but Dollar$ was able to seal the deal with a big boot to the mouth of Sinn.
++A second qualifier for the 2012 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament pitted Fun Aftermath Guy Ben Tyler against Fatback Enterprises' "Young Gun" Nick Richards with a chance to make history on the line. William Cross' "assistant" Chet tried to make it 2 and 0 for his team but ended up costing his man the win as Richards got his hand raised to advance into the annual tournament by pinfall.
++Six veteran competitors entered next, to go to war in one-fall singles bout for the final open spot in the 2012 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament. Chase Dakota, Michael "the Fury" McAllister, Matt Smith, RGL Champion Joe Black, the Killbillies Evan Banks and Matthew de Nero answered the bell and lightning fast action erupted inside of the squared circle. Shenanagins broke out during the bout as Killbillies' "South Paw" Aric Andrews tried to pass himself off to the ring official as his tag partner and before it's over, it's a ballroom blitz. With pandemonium breaking out around the arena, Matt Smith pulled the surprise pinfall over former partner Chase Dakota to secure himself a spot in the 2012 Weaver Cup Tourney.
++All Star "El Fuego" Jesse Ortega was up next for a singles tilt against young Jason Miller. An entertaining and hard-hitting affair ensued with a variety of blistering chops and softening moves for the Fujiwara armbar in the mix led up to a crescendo of pain resulting in Miller, who appeared to have taken a beating during the bout, with his hand raised in a hard-won victory. Miller also refused prior to the bout to make himself a "candidate" to join the All Stars as a bench player after the invitation of the Coach.
++The Killbillies Korral kicked off following intermission, and the CWF Mid Atlantic Tag Team Champions Killbillies with manager "Barefoot" Bobby Joe Neill invited out Aftermath manager William L. Cross, who in turn called out former Aftermath member Marcellus "Mid Atlantic" King for an explanation for his actions at the prior CWF event. King answered the challenge, but refused to enter the ring, doing his talking from the bleachers surrounded by fans. Turning their backs and exiting the arena, the Killbillies left Cross alone in the ring, suddenly to find King an arm's length behind him. The unexpected equalizer hit the ring in the form of former heavyweight champion Xsiris choosing that moment to make his return, to the chagrin of King.
++With a shot at the Killbillies' tag titles on July 28th on the line, the All Stars' Goon Squad of Walter Eaton & Roy Wilkins entered the ring to face off against A Black Guy & A Little Goat's Arik Royal & Chiva Kid. They were introduced, quite incorrectly, by "guest ring announcer" Rayaan Jaheer, who briefly appeared a few weeks ago identifying himself as the owner of the actual building that houses the Mid Atlantic Sportatorium. A brawl between two former Mid Atlantic Tag Championship teams resulted, with all four men unloading with everything but the proverbial kitchen sink. Timing is everything and the Goon Squad took advantage of the moment, winning the shot at the Killbillies via pinfall.
++CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Kamakazi Kid was up for the main event, defending his title against the #1 Contender, "Assassin" Ray Kandrack with manager Coach Gemini in tow. Before the bell could be rang, "Surly" Cecil Scott hit the ring and demanded Kazi to surrender the title to him. Kazi refused and responded with a shot sending Scott face-down on the entrance ramp. Then the bell rang and it hit the fan. Brutality. Bad feelings. Bad attitudes. Brawling. More brutality. At one point nearly 13 minutes into the bout, Kandrack actually tapped out to a submission applied by the popular masked star, but the referee was too busy removing Coach Gemini from the ring to see it. Kazi found himself being beaten on the floor by the irate masked Mecha Mercenary and after many valiant attempts to retain his title, found himself unable to get his shoulders off of the canvas when the referee made the three-count after he made it back into the ring. The rest of the All Stars hit the ring to celebrate the latest addition of CWF Mid Atlantic title belts added to the Coach's trophy case.
