++The first of two semifinal bouts in the 2012 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament pitted Fun Athletic Guy Trevor Lee w/Chet against the 2011 Weaver Cup champion Arik Royal for a shot at the main event final. The two battled tooth and nail from bell to bell until Royal finally "rang the bell" of the apprentice in the Aftermath, allowing him to advance to the Final via pinfall. Aftermath manager William L. Cross came out and announced Lee has 4 weeks to prove himself or he's out of the group!

++Fatback's "Young Gun" Nick Richards was up next in the second semifinal bout, led to the ring by manager Brad Stutts, only to discover CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion "Assassin" Ray Kandrack and Coach Gemini awaiting their arrival. Richards took several momentum swings and came really close to finishing off the CWF Champ, with the final momentum swing being when Richards caused Kandrack to injure his own knee. The usually stoic champion screamed in pain, refocused and withstood attacks on his injured knee to advance to the evening's main event final by pinfall.
++The bizarre Chase Dakota was out next for singles action against high-flyer LaBron Kozone and the two went to battle, sticking mainly to the canvas and a vertical base. As the fans got loudly behind the newcomer Kozone, Dakota took note and turned up his viciousness a few notches to get a pinfall win in under five minutes against the fan favorite.
++Mecha Mercenary and "Surly" Cecil Scott were out next, with the mask of the Kamakazi Kid in tow for singles action against Matt Smith. Smith took a beating early on and was flat on the canvas before redoubling his efforts (or perhaps getting angry) and taking the fight to the nearly invincible masked monster. Mecha held up the mask of the Kamakazi Kid and suddenly, the former champion's entrance video flared across the big screen. Kazi hit the arena from the back door, hitting and running, and exiting after getting Mecha so angry that Smith was able to earn a win over the big man via the referee's count out.
++Six man tag team action was up next as the All Stars team of Roy Wilkins, Walter Eaton & Michael "the Fury" McAllister w/Jesse "El Fuego" Ortega entered to take on Jason Miller and two partners of his choice. After the All Stars surrounded Miller, CWF Mid Atlantic Television Champion Donnie Dollar$ and Matthew de Nero hit the ring to even the odds, with manager Brad Stutts in tow. One of the hardest hitting contests in CWF history ensued with blistering chops and vicious kicks raining down on both teams before the more vicious stomping kicked in. Ortega, with his arm in a sling, removed it and got involved on the floor of the arena as all six men brawled, helping his team to a pinfall win via his helping hand.
++The Aftermath's "the 1st" Ric Converse w/William L. Cross were out next for a singles bout against one half of the CWF Mid Atlantic Tag Team Champions, Killbillies' "South Paw" Aric Andrews. Converse spent several moments unleashing his acid tongue on the Killbillies fans at ringside, who never once let up the entire match. Andrews displayed the wrestling ability and skills necessary to be a champion, swapping holds and counters with the former six-time Mid Atlantic Champion. After a run-in by Aftermath partner Trevor Lee, which was turned away quickly by Andrews, Converse finished off the game competitor by winning the numbers game via pinfall. As Converse is about to exit the ring, Marcellus "Mid Atlantic" King appears on the big screen and tells Converse he's not the same person that he used to team with in the Aftermath and that he was all business today. Converse responded with the house mic that he wants King in the ring in two weeks when CWF Mid Atlantic returns to live action on Saturday September 8th.
++Injured and hobbling, CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion "Assassin" Ray Kandrack made his way to the ring with Coach Gemini to await Arik Royal, who had won the 2011 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament and was looking for back-to-back wins. The two bulls of the woods locked horns and it got ugly quick. The two have no love lost between them and it only took a few minutes for Royal to realize just how injured Kandrack really was. Kandrack became the proverbial immovable object forcing Royal to become the proverbial irresistible force, which he did with the support of the fans. Royal did his part to make the Final bout of the 2012 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament an instant classic, forcing a submission out of the angry champion Kandrack in the middle of the ring. During his celebration and victory lap, Royal took the house mic and announced that unlike last year, when he used his winning challenge for a title shot and failed to win it, that he was ready to announce his challenge immediately. Stating he hopes that Kandrack is still champion in four months, Royal cashed in his winner's bonus demanding a CWF Heavyweight Title bout at Battlecade in December!
