It should be a very memorable night at the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium when we return next Saturday night September 22nd with our amazing roster of hungry young athletes all gearing up for our very first Internet pay-per-view on October 20th. But we have two amazing Sportatorium cards before that epic night and September 22nd promises to be an event that sets the stage not just for the Rumble pay-per-view but also CWF's future as a whole!
Main Event Grudge Match
RIC CONVERSE VS. MARCELLUS KING
King was brought back to CWF after an extended hiatus by Converse as his "insurance policy" to win the Mid-Atlantic Championship back in June. But King swerved Converse and cost him the match igniting a months-long war of words that culminates September 22nd when they finally go one on one!
We have comments from both men in Chris Lea's CWF Events Center right here courtesy of our official YouTube account:
For the Mid-Atlantic Television Championship:
DONNIE DOLLARS (C) VS. TREVOR LEE
A heated confrontation erupted at the conclusion of last Saturday's "All Star Night" between CWF Commissioner Corey Edsel and old in-ring rival Ric Converse:
The end result of that video is Trevor Lee will face Mid-Atlantic Television Champion Donnie Dollars on Saturday September 22nd in a title bout. Back in June Aftermath front man William Cross gave both Trevor and new Rising Generation League Champion Ben Tyler 90 days to each win a title or be kicked out of the group. Now the pressure is on Trevor as this is his LAST chance to impress Cross before the deadline runs out!
JUST ADDED in a huge six man tag-team bout that could influence the October 20th pay-per-view event the All Stars' ROY WILKINS, WALTER EATON and Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion RAY KANDRACK face NICK RICHARDS, ARIK ROYAL and CHIVA KID! Kandrack is slated to defend his title October 20th against Chiva and whoever is champion will defend in December at our anniversary event Battlecade against Arik Royal. But the All Stars are looking to spoil that as Coach Gemini has told his men to take out Royal and Chiva by any means necessary. The wild card in this scenario is Nick Richards who came close to beating Kandrack on two separate occasions and now finds himself in the ring with the champion again, more determined than ever.
PLUS the CWF Mid-Atlantic debut of TY TYSON and SAMANTHA STARR, Mid-Atlantic Tag-Team Champions THE KILLBILLIES will be in action, KAMAKAZI KID, the monstrous 400 pound MECHA MERCENARY, RGL Champion BEN TYLER and so much more!
:::::::::: CWF RUMBLE STREAMING LIVE WORLDWIDE OCT. 20TH ::::::::::
We are extremely excited to be joining the budding iPPV business as CWF Mid-Atlantic presents the 12th Annual CWF Rumble LIVE on the Internet! Join us LIVE October 20th on CWF247.COM or PWIPRO.COM at 7:30 PM for this once in a lifetime event. We have been looking to branch out into Internet pay-per-view for some time and feel that there is no better first event to launch with than the always exciting, always dramatic, always unforgettable CWF Rumble!
For 11 years now CWF Mid-Atlantic has presented the action packed, unpredictable 30 Person Over the Top Rope Rumble Match. It has become the annual supercard of the fall and this year's promises to be the biggest in CWF history!
On Monday September 10th the first FIVE confirmed names for the 30 Person Rumble Match were announced as: Aftermath "apprentice" CHET STERLING, recent CWF dojo graduate CHRIS LEA, "Surly" CECIL SCOTT, the monstrous MECHA MERCENARY and female wrestling star KELLIE SKATER.
On Monday September 17th the next five confirmed names for the Rumble Match were announced as: KAMAKAZI KID, NICK RICHARDS, MATTY DE NERO, TREVOR LEE and BEN TYLER.
Kazi is one of CWF's most decorated longtime stars, having held nearly every championship under the CWF banner. But a Rumble win is one thing that's eluded the daredevil Kamakazi Kid for all these years. And if the 400 pound Mecha Mercenary has anything to say about it, this won't be Kazi's year either. Immediately after the announcement of Kazi as a confirmed Rumble participant, the bionic behemoth proclaimed intentions to not just throw Kazi over the top rope and eliminate him, but break his back in the process!
Fatback's Nick Richards has been struggling lately. He put on a great showing in the Weaver Cup Tournament but came up short. He took Mid-Atlantic Champion Ray Kandrack to the limit but came up short. A Rumble win would break Richards out from the pack of rising stars and solidify him as a top dog in the Mid-Atlantic. Perhaps he could take a cue from his partner in Fatback Matty de Nero, who won this very Rumble match back in 2007. De Nero is a resilient fighter and a proven survivor and if the luck of the draw is kind to him you never know what could happen.
Then there's Trevor Lee and Ben Tyler, the Aftermath's Fun Athletic Guys. Mandated by William Cross to prove themselves worthy of the Aftermath name, one has to believe that no matter where they stand with Cross by the time October 20th rolls around that either would be welcomed back with open arms if they were the last man standing in this year's Rumble Match.
We will be announcing more names for the 12th Annual CWF Rumble NEXT week so make sure to stay connected with us at the links below!
:::::::::: CHIVA KID CHALLENGES RAY KANDRACK OCT 20TH ::::::::::
Commissioner Corey Edsel set up a four corner survival match at "All Star Night" between four of CWF's rising young stars that was practically guaranteed to be exciting, high flying and fast paced. He then said his mentality was to build the CWF organization around the young rising talent and added the shocking stipulation that the winner of the fall would challenge for the Mid-Atlantic Championship on October 20th when we go live on pay-per-view. Chiva Kid was victorious and will face the champion at the Rumble and you can watch the entire breath taking match right here absolutely free courtesy of our official YouTube page:
