++Former tag partners Charlie Weston and Josh Bishop renewed hostilities to kick off CWF OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS with a hard-hitting singles bout. Weston appeared to have the upper hand for the majority of the bout but opportunistic Bishop kept his eyes open and his head down and was able to pull off a clean win by pinfall.

++Red-hot Aftermath rookie Chet Sterling found himself across the ring from a long-time Mid Atlantic area competitor, Lance Lude, for a singles tilt. Sterling continued to display his "rookie learning curve" by continuing to impress with his in-ring abilities as he pretty much kept up with the high-flying Lude. Lude seemed to be up during the whole bout but Sterling continued his amazing streak with a pinfall win secured with a handful of Lude's tights.
++Eight man tag team action hit the ring as the Black Watch's Solomon Spades, Chase Dakota & Jester Jokes teamed with newcomer Smith Garrett to take on the Mid Atlantic Outlaws' Matt Houston & Louis Moore and the Killbillies' "Honky Kong" Evan Banks & "South Paw" Aric Andrews w/Bobby Joe Neil. Garrett quickly showed the Sportatorium that he was NOT a part of the Black Watch, but played his role in the match until he was ignored by his own teammates. When they finally tried to tag him in after the tide had turned, Garrett dropped to the floor and bid his former teammates goodnight, leaving the Outlaws with a double-pin opportunity for the win.
++Brandon Day made his return to the Mid Atlantic Sportatorium and drew singles action against one half of ROH's C&C Wrestling Factory Cedric Alexander. A hard-hitting and high-flying bout ensued with both men showing the fans what a serious fight was all about. In a great display of athletic abilities by both men, Alexander pulled off a beautiful reverse to win over a stunned Day via pinfall.
++Mecha Mercenary and "Surly" Cecil Scott were out next to challenge CWF Mid Atlantic Television Champion Matthew de Nero for the TV belt. Scott, in street clothes, was quickly warned off by the referee after interfering early, and de Nero exited the ring to ask Aaron Biggs to cover his back in his corner to neutralize Scott. The challenger didn't venture toward Biggs in the corner but Biggs did make his way around the ring to clean up any foul plans hatched by the Surly One. The "Summer of Matty" continues after de Nero pulled off a pinfall win over the mechanical monster, leaving him lying in the ring on his back with Biggs asking for a rematch against him on July 20th.
++Tag team action was up next as Coach Gemini presented his team of All Stars Michael "the Fury" McAllister & Jesse "El Fuego" Ortega to go head up against the team of CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Arik Royal & CWF RGL Champ Chris "Sho Smoove" Lea. Five or six minutes into the match it appeared that the All Stars were having some communication breakdowns to the point that Coach Gemini tried to substitute HIMSELF into the bout to show his team what was expected. The champions pulled off the pinfall win against the All Stars, who seemed to have yet another difference of opinion arguing on the floor before exiting the arena.
++"The Lost Cause" Nick Richards grabbed a house mic and entered the arena beside the announce position, calling out Andrew Everett just so he could deny him his wish of winning the Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament. In the 2013 Tournament's opening first-round match Richards and PWI International Ultra-J Crown Champion Everett answered the bell with Jason Miller making his way to the ring area as well. Miller wasn't bashful about interfering any and every time that he could get away with it, looking angry at ringside as Richards went to war with the former Chiva Kid. Andrew Everett defeated Richards by pinfall to be the first man to advance to the 2013 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament Final Four!
++Jason Miller was out next for a singles rematch against Donnie Dollar$, who keeps finding himself in the crosshairs of the "Lost Cause Brotherhood". Dollar$ made quick work of Miller, pinning him for the win in under three minutes. Richards joined his partner, sitting in a chair at ringside as Miller continued to attack Dollar$ relentlessly. After several long minutes of brutal attacks, Miller and Richards ambled away from the ring with a moral victory, leaving Dollar$ flat on his back in the ring.
++CWF Mid Atlantic Tag Team Champions The Dynasty's Xsiris & "the 1st" Ric Converse were up next to defend their titles against the Aftermath's Trevor Lee & Ben Tyler w/Chet Sterling in CWF OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS main event action. Three-on-two action kicked off with Sterling using every opportunity to help his partners out from the floor. Converse & Xsiris found themselves playing defense mid-match as Lee & Tyler showed off their skills, but used their veteran wiles to know when to turn the tide and leave the arena after a successful title defense won via pinfall. The Aftermath team seemed less than happy with each other as they exited.
++CWF Mid Atlantic returns to live action on Saturday July 20th at 7:30pm for CWF NO EXCUSES! The 2013 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament continues! Reserve your seats at www.cwf247.com NOW!
