As a musician, I must say that it is my obligation to fight censorship, because next time that the PMRC or some other bull organization pops up, who will be there to fight back? Frank Zappa is dead, he was a genius, John Denver was loved, his word held TONS of sway, but he's dead too.
So what are we supposed to do roll over and die and let the organization censor our music? HELL NO!!! It starts with people going out there and spreading the word and getting this information to be seen by those who like to listen to music...i/e EVERYBODY!
I don't know about you, but music is my life.I'm only 17, but I live and breath guitars, what happens, 3 years from now, I'm 20, and the music is gone.. oh it's there but a diluted, watered down piece of trash that has so many bleeps in it that it was a waste of my 15 bucks for the C.D. Not gonna happen, not in my book. Keep spreading the word, 'cause mark me, one of these days some new censorship organization is gonna come and they will throw some arguments that are pretty good. I mean let's face it, music certaily hasn't gotten much cleaner over the years.
So thanks for "spreading the word". I've been aware of this topic for some time now, but this is the first time i've spoken up about it. Thanks again.
