I depends on how tight the neck pocket is. There is a difference between the two neck pocket sizes. I was able to fit a fretless mighty mite p neck onto a Fender J bass body, but the fit was very tight. I tried this on an exotic wood(non fender) body, and it didn't work, I had to take a millimeter off the neck pocket, all the way around to make it work. The biggest thing that you can do is to measure your body, and neck pockets to make sure that they are close, if not dead on. I hope this helps and good luck.

: I recently bought an old squier. Er, for 45 $.
: Im about to sell neck, hardware, etc.. and
: leave a body. The wood seems to be ok (its
: not too young like other squier woods are
: -at least it seems to be a good piece.. )
: and acoustic attributes are allright.
: Then i saw an Mighty mite ebony fretless
: neck. Its unlined, without a nut. Would it
: fit in my squier?
: Is there a big difference between p necks
: and jazz necks? the neck is for p bass.
: And electronics? what about emg 1/4 ?
: duncan? ..
: This is my first project .
: And, i hope, not the last one..
: Thanks,
: Simon
