Hi,
the first thing to do is to set the intonation of your bass (Visit www.Warwick.de and check out "support" "bass owners manual" - thats a good help to learn how to set up your bass properly).
Done? Fine - then put some scotchtape on the top side of your neck/fingerboard. With the help of an electronic tuner mark every stop with a white painterpen. Remove the tape from time to time, or else you are learning to play by sight not by listening - a real bad habbit... Be aware that on a fretless bass the intonation from string to string changes a little bit! That has nothing to do with bad set up - thats ok. You got to compensate by listening (to tell the truth: most people won´t hear that when you are playing
)
Any questions?

: I just recently bought a fretless Guild
: 4-string (sb-605, I believe). Being a
: relative novice bass player and this my

: considering temporarily marking fret lines
: on the neck. Any info. would be
: appreciated.
