Howdy all...I just finished a bass...I'll post the pic. Heres the problem...I'm great with wood (no puns)..lay out etc...I have 2 probs. One, I just installed a passive soapbar (1 vol..1 tone..nothing fancy)...and thought I grounded evrything right but it has more hum then a sexual device. I grounded pots ...pick up and jack. On pots tho...I grounded to leads from pot...should I just ground "to" the pot itself?.... Next problem is...first freless neck I made...instead of resin coating it...I chose ca (aliphatic resin) and graphite mix...smooth as silk..and resilient...but..still a buzz from 6th to 10th fret area....what is nominal string height with lt guage strings? (Maxima 88s).....thanx for reading.....Dave
