Thomastic-Infield Jazz flats are the best strings i've ever used and now i wont use anything else, absolutely amazing strings.

: Tapewound or flatwound will save your frets
: from further damage. You may be able to get
: the frets "dressed" which might
: save you some money and even out the frets.
: I prefer Thomastic-Infield Jazz flats. All
: the James Jamerson/Motown stuff was done on
: a PBass with flats.

: Been away from bass for long time. (studying
: viola for music degree)I have a custom made
: Sting Ray w/rosewood and Fender nylon tape
: wounds, also a Fender P w/maple, currently
: has unknown round wounds. My deceased friend
: played slap, damage due to
: "popping" and side to side
: vibrato. (he was primarily a fretted
: player)1st, happy with tapewound on Stingray
: w/rosewood, how will they act on a Pbass
: w/maple? 2nd, what recommendations for
: damage from roundwounds on Pbass? 3rd,
: should I go with tapes on the P or flats?
: BTW, 1st time on the site, looks great, it's
: like coming home! Thanks for any input.
