The neck is huge, like an upright, and the tone is kind of a combination of an upright, with lots of mrah, and a rickenbaker with punching highs. It is very heavy, my guess is that it's 10+ lbs. It rests very well, almost perfectly while standing with a strap. While seated, it is also perfectly balanced and with it on EITHER leg. Unlike most other Wishbasses, this fits into a Fender type bass gigbag!!! Not for everyone. If you need pefection, go elsewhere. But, if you want killer tone, great playability, and a neck thru instrument which is hand-built in America, AND costs under $500, you should consider one.

Well, I got one which arrived yesterday. It's a Lobe model and cost $300. Pretty much like everything I've read. Imperfections in construction and finish, but amazing neck and tone. Grover tuners, EMG Select Jazz pickup, all Maple and Ipe wood, 34" scale. Sort of looks like a stretched out Les Paul on acid, or a whale with it's mouth open eating squid.
