I would put some relief back in to the neck. If you say it's flat, loosen it a little. I try to roughly get the neck relief so that if I hold the string down at the end of fingerboard, there would be enough clearance for a quarter to slide between the string and fingerboard at the C on the E string (8th "fret"). Thats what I shoot for. There are so many other variables such as neck angle and nut height that a true professional setup would be a good idea though.
