had to pirate some internet up here in columbia just to comment on this (oh yeah, by the by, went to columbia for a couple days, see old friends, piss on certain landmarks, et al).
won't be halladay. it just won't.
however, i agree with tim that it very well might be dunn, who...and brian can back me up on this...i have despised pretty much forever. you're definitely correct that it's less money/more time but also horrible fielding and untold amounts of strikeouts (though he is a big dumb f.ucking country rube that swings a big stick so maybe more HR's?).
the news right before i checked this indicates the holliday thing is moving ahead. wow. not even really sure what to say. you know what the ironically bad thing is? if we sign him and he does well and we want to re-sign him, know who we have to deal with? scott "give me all your f.ucking money or we walk" boras. have fun with that.
very interesting times: trade rumors, post-duncan fallout, playoff contention heating up...very interesting times, indeed. 'bout time we had a little drama injected into this congenial atmosphere.
and i want to publicly concede that at least as of right now (which mind you isn't much), the derosa thing is a good move. still don't like mozeliak, though.
also, tim, looks like i'll be calling you today or tomorrow, but more likely tomorrow. i iz 0ut of t0wnz.
