Reasons why I hate this:
-Scott Boras.
-Rental possibility.
-3B in the future is...who exactly?
-Brett Wallace gone.
-You try to keep Holliday. You spend a lot of money. And...Pujols is chopped liver?
-Brett Wallace gone.
If the Cardinals do not a) win the World Series (or at least go deep into the playoffs) and b) finally come to the bargaining table and actually pay Holliday and then pay Pujols, this is a bust. Let's hope they are willing to pay to retain multiple people with this level of talent. That's my hope after hearing this news.
Sigh...Brett Wallace...tear...
Also, I'm posting because I'm at home. We got off work at 1:00 today. The phone system stopped working. Mike Tomlin went on a tirade to behold.
