You are probably right about Wallace given that they held onto Rasmus.
I think the message to Pujols needs to be two-fold. You sent a message now. You need to send a message later by retaining Holliday. If the second part of the message isn't there, it loses luster.
As a result, I am officially shaking my fist at St. Louis...you better retain him! Ohhhh you better retain him!
