100 words isnt much, but i made the best of it. the assignment was: "You've got 100 words to convince me that you live and breathe Morricone." i did that in a number of ways, i think -- here's what i wrote:
"One of my favorite Morricone scores is "Il Sorriso del Grande Tentatore". Throughout his career, Il Maestro has attempted to link his Catholic upbringing with various other musical forms, and this is one of his earliest and best. The juxtaposition of the traditional Latin texts with the sixties rock elements is brilliant, risky, perfectly illustrates the themes of the movie, and is a wonderful representation of the kinds of things Morricone produces."
basically, i attempted to showcase that score as the beginning of his evolution of that idea, which was also later used in 'the mission', his rejected score for 'what dreams may come', and many, many more. i also called him 'il maestro' and chose a movie which isn't available on home video at all (that i could find). yah my description isn't reallii that well-written, (i did it fairly quickly) but i think it did the job
