Can someone explain 1430 AM to me? I am from the St. Louis area but have spent my entire career in broadcasting elsewhere in operations, management and ownership. While sitting out a snow storm in a motel there a few weeks back I listened in p.m. drive and a.m. the next day. The music appeared older oldies, few ads ran and they were mostly Illinois based retail. What is the positioning of the format and station marketing? Can it compete as an oldies station?
Is it oriented to the entire Metro or just the Illinois side?
