For Immediate Release:
SOCIAL MEDIA DEVELOPER GAMECENTRIC MEDIA WITH MULTIMEDIA COMPANY NJS4EVER NETWORKS TO LAUNCH WORLD’S FIRST SOCIAL MEDIA APPLICATION SUITE FOR RADIO BROADCASTERS.
(Chicago and Los Angeles) – March 5th, 2009
Los Angeles-based social media developers Gamecentric Media and Chicago-based media company Njs4ever Networks, LLC have entered into a joint venture to launch the world’s first social media application suite for radio broadcasters. Dubbed 4EverCentric Media, this joint venture will produce Pantheon™, a social radio network that merges traditional radio properties with unique, customize-able and extensive social networking applications to foster engaging, interactive, and user-friendly brand experiences between radio listeners and their favorite stations. Pantheon is scheduled to launch in spring 2009, beginning with two Njs4ever radio properties currently reaching thousands of listeners online.
“It’s no secret that the internet – in particular social media – has revolutionized the way consumers choose to consume media. While it is true that more traditional forms of media such as print and traditional radio have seen a decline in audiences as a result, that’s not necessarily a bad thing as long as the brands that succeeded with traditional media in the past are able to embrace new media more effectively, “said Andrew Knyte, COO of the newly formed joint venture. “We’re here to jumpstart that process for traditional, network, and even online radio.”
Utilizing proprietary technology to organically integrate the traditional radio experience into social media, end users will gain the ability to embed their favorite radio stations on a multitude of social networking platforms focusing on Facebook and MySpace. The technology itself allows for highly interactive applications, enabling fans to communicate with each other, rate songs, highlight sponsors and view additional information as determined by the stations while driving traffic to pre-designated online destinations. In addition, the social radio network will rely heavily on Gamecentric’s achievement-based promotions system to drive user-adoption and repeat interactions. Development of a mobile version (iPhone, Blackberry, Android, etc) of the social network is well underway.
“It’s important to focus marketing efforts on where the users are going; we can now fully integrate media into the people’s natural behavior patterns, which is checking on their MySpace or Facebook pages multiple times a day,” says Paul Limon, Gamecentric Media
One of the biggest advantages to advertisers and radio stations participating in the social radio network is the high degree of measurability offered by the suite of applications. Clients will have access to metrics including songs played/time played, time spent listening, links visited, “call to action” response rates, songs liked or disliked, images most/least responded to, and main traffic drivers.
“This is every broadcaster’s dream come true……a way to create NTR by way of monetization of their broadcast property’s online streams,” says Steven Mills, EVP/Radio And Digital Media of the newly formed joint venture.
An additional incentive provided for radio stations to join the Pantheon social radio network is the fact that state of the art custom commercial production and imaging services are included in the deal, which eliminates the need for broadcasters to invest additional dollars toward an additional distribution platform.
“Our mission, as with radio station imaging in general is to ensure that your clients stand out and that your on-air product sounds big, fresh, and compelling,” shares Chad Thomas Benson of 4EverCentric.
Paul Limon, CEO of Gamecentric Media will serve as CEO of 4EverCentric Media. Andrew Knyte, CEO of Njs4ever Networks will serve as COO of 4EverCentric Media. Steven Mills, EVP of Programming at Njs4ever Networks will serve as EVP, Radio & Digital Media, and Chad Thomas Benson of Gamecentric Media will be appointed SVP, Affiliate Relations.
