As originally reported yesterday, Clear Channel has made a number of changes to its St. Louis cluster. CCM+E has moved Urban AC KMJM (Majic 104.9) from 104.9 to 100.3, replacing Classic Rocker KBWX (The Brew), then launched a new Rhythmic CHR KBWX "WILD 104.9" on KMJM's old frequency. KMJM is now the all-new "Majic 100.3."
An official announcement from CCM+E says that "Wild 104.9 will play today’s hit music including hip-hop and R&B, featuring artists like Ke$ha, Flo Rida, Lil’ Wayne and more. Majic 100.3’s new frequency gives the Urban AC station more power and a stronger signal. Majic has been on-air in the St. Louis area for more than 35 years and is home to premier personalities like Steve Harvey, Tony Scott and Tammie Holland."
"We’re excited to introduce Wild 104.9 to St. Louis listeners and offer new music programming for our local audience," said Beth Davis, President/Market Manager, CCM+E-St. Louis. "The New Majic 100.3 will provide a better listening experience with a stronger and clearer signal reaching all of St. Louis so they can get Today’s R&B and Old School where they live and work."
"Wild 104.9 is an exciting addition to the St. Louis hit music landscape," said Tommy Austin, CCM+E Regional Programming Manager. "The new party hit music station is also a great partner to sister station, Majic 100.3 – we definitely have hit music programming covered in St. Louis."
