Posted by Earl Grey on 7/11/2006, 4:00 am, in reply to "waiting on a miracle" I first heard Bruce back in 1979, I bought 'Dancing' on the strength of the album art alone. At the time I was enamoured by Joni Mitchell's Hejira, That 'Fogelberg' guy, and Todd Rundgren. You can figure it out (Best thread I can find is that they were all musical 'auters', and poets, and thinkers. My first show was Stealing Fire at The Wiltern, 1984, wasn't it? Next was "World Of Wonders' at UCLA. Next was A show he did with Joan Biaz (Should've heard 'Nicaragua' sung by tyhe two of them: a MOMENT. At one point, during one of Bruce's political spiels, a couple got up out of their seats and left The Arlington Theatre: ...Guess nobody told them that Joan Biaz was a liberal... Hyuck! Other shows: The Ventura Theatre in 1990, with T-Bone and Sam... McCabes: 10 years ago... McCabes: Last year... Can't wait for The House Of Blues in LA: Bruce is a true poet, and a sage. THERE!
