I just saw Bruce in Denver @ the Swallow Hill Music Festival on Friday...this is the 3rd time I've seen him in concert and this time it seemed that he just wasn't really into it. The song selection was great, his voice sounded amazing, his guitar playing was phenomenal; but there were a few missed lyrics, and twice he repeated verses of songs. I know he doesn't usually talk much in between songs, but on this night he was almost completely silent. He was late coming onstage and there was no explanation or mention of it; he just picked up his guitar and went right into the 1st song. A few times he answered someone in the audience in a rather flippant way, almost angrily.It was a solo performance, and I'm sure there's more pressure when you're up there alone. I was hoping he would talk about his recent Nepal trip or perhaps announce a new album release (soon, I hope). I think he's an amazing songwriter and always look forward to his shows...but I have to say this was a little disappointing. I hope he's OK physically/mentally/spiritually. Just wondered if any one else has had this experience @ a show.
